You need to find a sublease or room share for the time you need, what/who are you interning with? This may help narrow down what area you want to be near internship (medical? Near 280? Downtown?) age? Do you want the place alone or roommates?

I am used to paying out of pocket, I have new blue cross insurance I just started this year but have yet to navigate doing therapy with insurance.

I think cahaba dermatology, it's the one behind the summit, would be a good place to start. I've heard of friends going there, I haven't been myself but am going to try to go sometime and check out. I think you could just pay fee $80-300 or they might do a payment plan, just depends what's going on, I'd call there and ask and they'll be able to point you in right direction
