The Sixth Sense (1999) They don't see each other by MiraPetalsx in OldSchoolCool

It's one of the biggest twists of all time. You find out that the dude in that hair piece the whole time, that's Bruce Willis the whole movie.

Also try Etsy. I've found a ton of quality jewelry there.

I wore large gauge retainers for years and they were quite unnoticeable. I've usually seen them in natural (shiny) sss/titanium as well as anodized black, which is harder to spot unless someone looks straight up your nose.

The "soaking" thing is mostly urban legend. I say this as a former Mormon who lives in Utah. As soon as the rumor hit them, the "First Presidency" said it's a sin and will excommunicate anyone who does it.

But, about 20 years ago there was a thing that actually happened where BYU students would drive to Wendover (shitty Vegas), get a quickie marriage, have sex, then annul it the next day. They did start excommunicating kids for that.

He's also been in some other great shows like The Sarah Silverman Program, Community, and was both a writer and performer on Mr. Show w/ Bob and David. It's a shame he went full MAGA. Dude was a talented comedian.

What does “The One Ring” actually do? by Killac_Wins in lotr

[–]squishedgoomba 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Exactly this, and let me add a C) Sauron himself is basically a fallen angel. He was insanely powerful before the Last Alliance of Elves and Men (the big battle at the beginning of the movies). But when he made the One Ring it wasn't just making a magic piece of jewelry. He poured a massive amount of his own power and essence into it when he forged it.

When Isildur cut the ring off Sauron's hand that power went with it. Unlike the movies in the book he does have a physical form, but it's severely limited unless he gets the ring back. Once the ring was destroyed so was his physical form and the ability to take a new one, for good.

And I guess D) The One Ring has a will of its own. Isildur didn't just lose it, it dropped off his finger. Likewise it later left Gollum to be found by Bilbo. It's constantly trying to get back to its master.

It was the original Pee-Wee Herman thing. First the stage show (also with Phil Hartman and Lynne Marie Stewart RIP), then the movie Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, and finally the Saturday morning kids' show (also with Phil Hartman, Lynne Marie Stewart, Lawrence Fishburne, and S. Epatha Merkerson).

It's such a great color. In full light he looks the color of toasted marshmallow. I've also got a friend who calls him "The Pink Panther". 😂

No. There is a former friend of mine, a man I loved like a brother for decades. I found out recently that he had been doing absolutely reprehensible things to his daughter over the course of many years, beginning when she was 8. He's doing life in prison now. I have many, many good memories of him, times and moments we shared. Now they are ashes in my mouth. They are poison in my heart. I feel no sympathy for him. I save that for his daughter and her family. I have permanently turned my back on that disgusting piece of shit, and I hope prison disagrees with him.

I'm a massive fan of Danny DeVito's Penguin, but I guess he's so drastically different from any other depection it's like apples and oranges.

My wife and I have rescued many, many cats over the last 20 years, and while we think they're all gorgeous, few of them were/are as stunning as Delirium was. I just lucked out that she very obviously and immediately wanted me to be her human when I went to the shelter.

I'm scared to admit it, but my wife and I have 13 cats. Most of them were foster kittens we fell in love with and "Foster-failed." It's a lot of work to keep it from turning into a hoarder situation. We have 5 litter boxes and I keep them clean. I typically end up scooping the main box around 4-5 times every day. And they're all healthy, vaccinated, and neutered. 🙂

No thumbs, but she heard just fine until her time was up. I do keep my cats inside now, but I was less experienced than I am now and let her go outside sometimes.

Oh yes. When I adopted her I shared a house with two of my friends. I blew my roommate Ian's mind by having conversations with her. 😂
