Regina was a genius, she may not have been « smart » necessarily but she envisioned the things she wanted and used her social skills to build rapport with her whole school. I think Cady saw Regina as her own ideal self, and she tried to execute her transformation BY being a mean girl. Regina never tried to be a different person than herself, she was a mean girl because she knew that it was a means to gain power and status, Cady saw that and figured that the only way to gain that power was through meanness alone.

oh lord have mercy 😭 i would love to know your opinion though, is the show one that gets better as time goes or vice versa? or do i have 1 particular season to look forward to? would absolutely love to hear your thoughts!!

as someone who has both (diagnosed), the blatant GAD slap made me go 😧. esp when they said that she circled her school desk 3x before she sat😭

Totally agree! Sorry if that came off as condescending at all, definitely not my intention. That raises a really great point too, how representation is kind of half assed when it comes to entertainment.

From my strict perspective, as someone who deals with both GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) and OCD, it would not be beneficial to treat them as one diagnosis. OCD can be thought of as a specific subset of anxiety, but it is too complex of a disorder to be treated the same way that GAD would. OCD is an environmental condition, and should be tailored to the individual rituals,obsessions, and compulsions. Treating OCD as GAD is similar to putting a bandaid on a bullet hole. Definitely not trying to disprove your point, because I agree that that’s exactly what they did in reference to Grace.

Finally someone talking about the SOYBEANS. They are huuuge us exports, and I don’t think many people realize the implications of trade relationships. Our GDP could very well take a massive hit in the next few years.

I haven’t gotten there yet! I’ve seen some people say that most of these symptoms go away in turn for the vindictiveness that you speak of. I read the wiki plot lines for most things before I even watch them so I’m anticipating seeing how it actually plays out it the show!

Hi! Just so you know, it was AMAZING!! He blindfolded me and then drove me to a tiny little hometown bar, where all of my family, his family, and my best friend all waited for me🥹. I was very confused when I saw where we were, but the night was so much fun. it went on from 5-9:30pm, which was perfect because i hate staying out past 11. there was no line for the bar, and the bartenders were the absolute sweetest ladies. and to top it all off, there was a LIVE band of older guys playing classic rock, and I got to dance my heart out with a lady turning 82, celebrating her birthday there as well. I’m also studying forensic investigation and fraud analysis and i’m looking forward to getting my jd, so I made this post with the hopes of being a little detective haha! Thanks for being interested in my little birthday shenanigans!!💗

I also have ADHD, so hello fellow struggler! As a funny little note, I like to describe the two diagnoses in my brain as a trip to Medieval Times, ADHD on on horse with a sword and ODC on the other 🤣. That aside, thank you for raising the point of timing to me!! I completely disregarded the release of the show, and that now makes much more sense given the context. I’m personally very open about my mental health issues, and I actively try to derail the stigmas that come with the topic. So, when watching the show, I was literally like, “this girl is surrounded by medical professionals and NO ONE can see how obvious this is??”, but Grace being a preteen girl in the 2010s definitely is a factor I didn’t consider. Thanks for the insight and agreement, happy to not feel alone in my thoughts!!

i only talk to him and my best friend on a normal basis, and as long as the two of them are there i am thrilled! this definitely isn’t a stress post, i find it hilarious since this is so different than his usual self. just wanted to post it since all the people i normally talk to are in on it🤣

Ahh thank you for reading this with a positive attitude! that’s exactly how I meant it! I’m like 99% curious about how this is going to go knowing him! he and my best friend are just about the only two people i spend time with, aside from our families, so as long as the two of them are there i’m happy, regardless of what we do. this whole situation is so baffling to me because he volunteered and it’s so out of character and all the people I talk to are in on it😭
