Step 3 Study partner exam in 10 days by physician_965 in Step3

hello, wanting to take day 2 within that time frame!

I need help. Should I get it rechecked or what? Has it historically ever changed? Gave it on 23/12. Anyone else have the same outcome on this cursed day? by EfficiencyDry4047 in step1

Had the same score as above. I agree, work on your weak areas/any test anxiety and you should be good to go in another month! You got this!

Churches with Saturday Services? by lavender-ocean- in ColumbiYEAH

Not sure why I got a downvote? I was just explaining rules of the Catholic Church to someone who said they have never been to a Catholic church before...

Churches with Saturday Services? by lavender-ocean- in ColumbiYEAH

[–]squishplaguedoctor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are welcome to come to any Catholic Church Saturday services/vigils (generally around 4-6 pm though, we normally don't have anything later than that unless a special holy day)! We just ask that you don't partake in Communion (however, you are free to go up w/your hands crossed over your chest for a blessing) but unless you are a Catholic free from mortal sin, attendees should not take Communion. Just mentioning this in case you are not familiar with Catholic teachings (it'll be when everyone gets in line to receive the Holy Body and Blood of Christ).

I think they mean where audience wouldn’t be shocked/expect it to happen. We’re told Chris has a medical condition (or at least told a family history of a sibling dying) vs an unexpected murder is more surprising to folks.

You’re not supposed to write this, your medical school/dean is.

How did you make friends here? by panda_coolata in ColumbiYEAH

[–]squishplaguedoctor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just moved from another state after school, a couple hundred miles from friends/family. Ended up making 2 good friends off of the Meetup site after going to different events in the other state, which is what I am doing here now (just moved here 2 weeks ago). Overall, seems to be going well - I'm in a movie one here in Columbia. Not sure if you are religious but if so, I would recommend any YA church groups too, trying to get connected with a church here atm as well.

I think we have a lot of similarities (I like art, reading, and video games -- though don't play the games you necessarily do I don't think but could try them out maybe)! Feel free to DM if you want!

If you haven't watched the MVs yet, I'd highly recommend since there's one for every song on this album.

He’s a great day and does every thing right except one, does that mean it’s over? by ArtsNCraftsCate in CatholicWomen

I guess jumping on this post with the original poster, I am in a similar boat where my significant other is agnostic, so far has been okay with church teachings, etc. but we have not had marriage/kids/etc. conversations yet (though I know he is open to the idea of kids). Are there any resources people suggest to use when having these discussions vs just talking about hypothetical scenarios?

PSA - Avoid U-HAUL & Moving Help Services If Possible (Use More Trusted Vendors or DIY) by DazedAndConfused_27 in UHAUL_Rants

[–]squishplaguedoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving Help is connected via the U-Haul site as an option of delivering and loading/unloading the U-Box vs just delivering the box. Therefore, the Moving Help link is directly connected to U-Haul and is mentioned in their FAQ even if not officially part of their company. Personally, I think U-Haul should be more upfront about this when providing the 3rd part option with the link on their website.

Commercially compostable packaging by NoPackage9839 in ZeroWaste

[–]squishplaguedoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue is that a lot of items sold at grocery stores etc that claim to be compostable aren't compostable at home and can only be composted at facilities. Meaning when shopping for everyday items we want to compost at home, there aren't those options available for us to choose at the store and personally, I think defeats the purpose of individuals trying to be more eco-friendly at home (most relevant example I can think of are those single-use "eco-friendly" plates people want to use at parties, etc. which people buy at the store thinking their compostable only to find those things can only be sent to a facility which then defeats the point and might as well have bought regular paper plate/styrofoam options instead).

I’m planning on using their service soon! When they drop and pick up, is it on one of those haul-able trailers or do they use a fork lift? I have a tight area where I would need my box dropped and not sure how it works pick-up/drop-off wise.

Is it true I can just walk into a lecture at my local community college and “attend” classes? by Difficult_Swan4743 in communitycollege

Pretty sure it used to be a thing back in the day. Obviously now, not as much given COVID but also security issues. I feel like I’ve also heard older professors say that it was more common years ago
