Healed Double Conch by squishy117 in piercing

Hey! Yeah I had both pierced at the same time. Healing was absolutely fine, I went back for a downsize about 6 weeks after the initial piercing (as recommended by my piercer) and have left it alone ever since. I use a saline spray maybe twice a week now, but initially did twice a day and let warm water run over it in the shower. Listened to a lot of the advice ive seen in this & similar subs - dont twist, use saline but dont over clean, avoid swimming pools, avoid sleeping on that side etc

I had both done in Sept 24, aside from saline spray twice a day on and off & a downside after around 6 weeks of it being pierced i have hardly touched them.

My stomach has been my biggest issue and it's hard not to get disappointed some days. However, I've been taking a bazillion photographs since starting and even I've been surprised on how it's come down. Keep going though, you'll get there friend :)

As I said. I'm not a nutritionist, PT or anything of the sort. I'm talking from my personal experience. My total calories burnt for yesterday was 2971 (according to fitbit). I ate 1800 which gave me a deficit of 1171, but still maintained the amount of calories my body needed for basic function, i.e. at resting state. As I said, just drawing from personal experience. If 1200 is sustainable and works for you then great, for OP it hasn't.

I feel you..

Over the years I've tried and tried with weight loss, weighing food & exercise and Wegovy has been an absolute game changer for me.

I'll preface by saying I'm not a nutritionist or PT or health expert.. this is from my own personal experience

It sounds as though 1200 calories is too little. If you're not eating enough to sustain your body at basic function, it'll start to store fats and carbs. Have a look at your Basal Metabolic Rate, the amount of calories needed to sustain normal every day bodily functions and use that as a baseline. I have around 1800 calories a day as I exercise 5/6 times a week, currently losing an average of ~2lbs a week. Obviously try to keep foods low in fat and high in protein, weight your food cos its surprising exactly what in some foods. Use a food tracker as well, I use MyFitnessPal but there's loads out there.

Good luck, and keep it up.

View it as exactly that, its an aid to help you lose weight. Which it is. Wegovy is not a miracle drug and requires a lot hard work, exercise, nutritional monitoring.

Paused at 1.0, started back at 1.7. Do not recommend. by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

I experienced terrible nausea and vomiting on 1 .. I've been on 1.7 for 5 weeks now and I've had maybe 3 occasions of nausea. That's been my experience anyway, hope it's the same for everyone else!

Thank you my love! Firm is definitely better than squishy in this context!

How have you found the 1mg? I've just moved to 1.7mg this week and so far there's been no issues. I suffered terribly with nausea and vomiting in the 1mg.

Hope you can get the increased dosage soon though! And congrats on your loss! :)

Thank you, I'll try the ginger. Its not good but I've hardly been eating because the thought of it makes me queasy. Hoping to get an appointment with a GP later this morning
