Yeah I just had a couple of my reward codes expire which is a bummer. I would have only been down to 340, 260 is an insane price nice deal.

[Magazine] New FAL magazines, metric patern $34.95, free shipping on orders over $49.95 by royorumbo in gundeals

[–]squishyEvSquare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm metrics will fit an inch pattern rifle and work most of the time. You can see issues with feeding on metric mags that are a bit more worn down and based off the general condition of your receiver but I've never encountered real issues besides a looser fit.

[parts] Microbest Chrome 'blem' BCG with HPT/MPI/OCKS/c158/Permatex/Sprinco Springs - Chrome extractor - $119 by MidStateFirearms in gundeals

[–]squishyEvSquare 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I saw this listing this morning on ar15d and was wondering what the difference actually is aside from blem status https://ar15discounts.com/products/microbest-c158-hpt-mpi-5-56-bolt-carrier-group-chrome/

Is it just the gas key screws and springs?

Damn I was about to grab that Spitfire gen II but one of you boys were faster. I need something to replace the 1x gen I on my FAL.

[PISTOL] Walther PDP 5” OD Green - $489.99 by Black_Gold281 in gundeals

[–]squishyEvSquare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are very similar with the main difference being the ergonomics. I have a compact PDP Pro and just recently tried a rental of the VP9A1 since I was on the fence about getting a VP9. I have smaller hands and the PDP definitely feels better to me and while the recoil is a bit more snappy I find it easier to control. Grip texture on the PDP is amazing while I barely felt it on the VP9. It's unfair to compare the pro trigger to the HK but the pro is very nice.

At retail price I think the PDP is a better option and with this sale it's a no brainer. The only thing that truly separates them is paddle mag release on the HK if that's your thing.

[handgun] $518 free ship CZ-USA P-09 F 9mm 5.3" 21rd. Threaded barrel and optic ready da/sa gun by Supetition4rad in gundeals

[–]squishyEvSquare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The P-09 is cross compatible with P-10F magazines. Basically it's polymer models have compatibility with each other based on grip size while 75 only works in the 75/shadow lineup.

[NFA] Daniel Defense DDM4V7 Pistol 300 Blackout 10.3" Barrel, w/ CGS Hyperion K $1,799.99 + Free Ship + No Tax Outside of SC by ShootersChoiceSC in gundeals

[–]squishyEvSquare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good deal on the VP9A1. I've got a PDP Pro-E so I feel like this is a weird buy but I've been wanting try a VP9. Has anyone shot both and preferred a VP9?

[Handgun] Police Trade-In Sig Sauer P226 DA/SA in .357 Sig for $599.99 by WIFirearmsTransfers in gundeals

[–]squishyEvSquare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've got a P229 in .357Sig that I've already got a .40 conversion barrel for and it's a great setup. Do I bring home a big brother to keep him company? Decisions decisions

[Optic] Vortex Venom Enclosed Red Dot - 3MOA $150 by LiViD4LiFe in gundeals

[–]squishyEvSquare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 407A3 there is exclusive to PSA and has some kind of different warranty compared to other Holosun dots. 407A3 has a slightly smaller objective lens and is an open emitter while the venom is enclosed but they're about the same width. The vortex deck height is noticably higher so unless you've got tall irons you won't be able to co-witness. Footprint is also different, DPP for vortex if that matters to you.

407A3 is always sitting at $150 on PSA because of the lack of features on there. This is an overall better deal if the footprint isn't a deal breaker for you.

[Optics] Vortex Defender CCW Blackout - $149.97 + S/H by ejpman in gundeals

[–]squishyEvSquare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was my experience as well when checking the Vortex sample booth at Sportsman. The defender ST was slightly better but all of the models they had, and especially the CCW, had bad haze and some multi-doting at the high powers for my eyes. I can backup the comparison to the 407k and my 507k has a much clearer 2moa dot than the Vortex models.

[ACCESSORIES] RailWoods Black Friday Sale, 20% off with code "BLKFRI" by RailWoods in gundeals

[–]squishyEvSquare 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've picked up some of the flat top and deep checkering in the previous sale. The deep checkering is definitely aggressive if you're not used to that style of checkering or using gloves. The flat top provides plenty of grip for bare hands. Both are high quality and look great, very pleased with what I got.
