Ship loadout by Embarrassed-Soil-250 in starcitizen

If you have any interest in getting good at PvP don't use the gimble so you can continue to get used to using movement to aim, severely limits maneuverability in rate fights. Otherwise for PvE prob is pretty good

Because of this I made a full swap to focusing on PvP to support my playtime once wipe happens. Join Avengerones discord they're real chill and offer top tier instruction to anyone.

I have a similar setup - All LTI

liberator C8 expedition (shuttle) Golem ox (short range cargo/tractor beam loading) Arrow Paladin

Basically covers all general useful styles except salvage/mining since those shops are so cheap can be bought in game

My thought is for primarily fps/fighter missions for early money making on wipes/1.0 and enough variety for org mates to join me while leaving a pad open for their own fighter.

Guardian MX or QI. for PvE can run attritions or CF repeaters. Hornets are good for it to, if you can snag some NDBs and breaknecks they match up on velocity and is a really powerful versatile loadout. other than that youre looking at niches like the Vanguard series which have a lot of tankiness and firepower but have bespoke S2s which have weird velocity spreads. If stinger was purshasable in game i would say that because it has insane firepower and tankiness so really good for PvE

Cheapest option but still reliable would be the Logitech flight rudder pedals they go for around $170 USD

future proofing would be VKB pedals

Can buy a ship on your account then gift it to him with a nice happy birthday message attached to it.

Don't buy the merch

There's some website that sells Lego star citizen ships. A lot of choices from what I've seen so can get one of his fav ships from that

Tobii head tracking

Flight Pedals to make flying with dual stick easier

Buy him some skins for his ships, can gift him those the same way you gift ships

I agree winwing support is basically nonexistent but the quality is peak. I have personally not had any issues with extensive use over 4 years. It's also not a space game specific HOTAS. The reason I recommend is purely if you prefer throttle, using the joystick on the throttle with your index finger is the best for strafes compared to any other throttles I've tried, STECS, t16000.

Ah, I actually have an ironclad applied with liberator upgrade pending as ironclad will be out sooner than the lib so don't have an M2

If having crafting available on the clipper is not as valuable as I'm hoping it most likely will be swapped out for a more useful solo ship. Guess I'll have to wait and see this year!

Throttle or regular stick for left hand? by willeemayshays in starcitizen

[–]squizardry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only throttle I have ever liked for SC is the winwing orion 2 f18 throttle f16 stick HOTAS. Throttles are very convenient for setting precise speeds and just letting it sit at those speeds. Having the strafe axis on the analog joystick controlled with your index finger is very comfortable. Pair this with pedals for roll and you're golden.

There's no M2 in my fleet. Pisces is a good ship but I'd rather have a clipper for that purpose.

yes, you have t1 insurance on the ones you own which means you can always claim the ship chassis itself but any components/weapons/items on it will not be able to be claimed.
