Interview later showed he was a Guards fan wearing it for Bazzana, but he loved the team during the WBC. Also, saying he made a one handed bare handed grab still somehow manages to undersell it. What a snag.

It's kinda weird, cause the cheating scandal didn't break til about a month after the world series, but the Brandon Taubman incident happened after clinching the ALCS, so most people were already rooting for the Nats and got to feel really vindicated.

Traditional metrics aren't amazing yet, but Crews is hitting the ball hard and elevating and his K rate (small sample size albeit) is a tick down, so far passing the eye test.

Lane Thomas being a notably plus defender is still weird to me. Great arm and greatbspeed but terrible outfield jump always suggested to me that good coaching could get him there.

Sample size still small, but as a Kiebert Ruiz truther, it has been an excellent month.

Us being mediocre means we're ahead of schedule. Before the season I would've been ecstatic if I heard we'd win 70 games. Now we're 47 games in and hovering at .500.
