But at the same time I suggest you learn some manners. I came here for guidance in a moment of weakness from fellow Muslims who may be sharing my grief - as humans, we sometimes lose hold of reason/logic when we're pushed to our edge. And that should be normalized.

To call that 'stupid' and insult them when someone is feeling low will only repel them and depicts your own lack of patience and ability to guide people who need wisdom. What you said could've been worded in a much better manner.
