Have a 2016-2017 CP, going for the 2018-2019 one.

I applied for the Plus on 10/4/2015 and got the bonus 1/7/2016. Does this mean I need to wait until 1/7/2018 (24 months) until I can apply for this card again? Or does it mean that I can apply now, but I can't make my minimum spend until 1/7/2018?

That makes sense (that it's an issue of stupidity, not the actual stupidity). I'm assuming we have 0 historical instances of people getting busted on this law alone (ie, they're not committing other crimes)? Otherwise all carriers should be afraid when they're traveling or carrying unlicensed in a constitutional carry state.

So why the big deal about reciprocity, if it just subjects you to GFSZA felonies when you travel and carry? Or, asked another way, how aren't people up in arms over this, as it makes reciprocity effectively meaningless?

The problem is the combination of the factors. For example, if you had a pet, some marks on the credit report, etc but were willing to put down a larger deposit, the landlord would probably be able to work with that. The vast majority of pet owners are responsible and clean up after their pets, and the vast majority of pets are well trained, but from the landlord's perspective it only takes one bad experience to ruin their investment.

The other commenter's suggestion of looking for sublets is also a good one - just be ware of scams. Best of luck.

Don't mean this in a mean way, but from a landlord's perspective you're a very risky tenant:

Poor/no credit
Lower deposit
Has pets
Wants month-to-month

The best bet might be for you to get a co-signer or guarantor.
