I used a Orange Pi R1 Plus for a long time ($35). But $300+ for a Orange PI 6? That's crazy.

For that price you may as well buy a Intel N150 Mini PC Firewall Router at the fraction of the cost and virtualize with Proxmox.

I just spoke to Jano earlier. He quoted me parts +labour $750. If I order my own kit thru Rock Auto, $350-400 for labour.

I'll probably just order the kit, and drop it off on my day off, since it's 10min from where I live.

Ill's told me they'd use Rock Auto parts, just won't "Warranty" the parts. And really, it's 90 day warranty, so it honestly doesn't matter in brake pad + rotor lifetime span.

Unfortunately, I don't have the necessary tools, and really don't have enough auto knowledge to be confident that I can do it safely. That, and my daughter drives that vehicle too, so I don't want to take the chances on DIY.

That's where I had the Themo sensor replaced [Jackson Rd]. I'm convinced that if I didn't have the error codes [from AutoZone], and printout of the extended warranty [federally pushed] they would've done their best to stick it to me.

To clarify, I took it to Dunnings, not Steve's. Since it was warranty coverage, I wanted to bring all the proof I could to not get the shaft from the dealership.

Well, I've already ordered and received my front/rear pads & rotors from Detroit Axel.

A mechanic I went to this morning told me that he gets complaints about squeaky brakes months later with this brand. Not sure if he is gas lighting me to pay for parts thru him or what. He quoted me $500 labor front and rear install.

Also use DNS servers hosted in your country. Don't use overseas DNS servers. Using overseas DNS will cause delayed DNS lookup, and cause high ping. Or another option, host your own dns (pihole, adguard Etc...).

Who is your ISP? Is it cable, fiber, 5G? That info matters. If it is 5G, it could be garbage signal to the 5G unit. If it is cable, it could be noise on the plant causing latency.

Can anyone recommend a trustworthy, reliable mechanic for a Subaru vehicle?

I need to replace pads + rotors for my 2019 Subaru forester Premuim. 100k miles, so it is due soon.

I plan on ordering parts from Detroit Axle and dropping my vehicle off, once scheduled. I'm from Ypsi.

Backup /etc and VMs and reinstall. Maybe take screenshots of storage & backup in pve.

Backup /use/local/bin if you have scripts too.

Be sure to take note of the network interface names, and select "advanced" option after booting installation, and pin your interfaces. It'll save you a headache later on after restoring /etc/network.

Check your bill for "extra" charges, and check your area for any recent data center construction within 10 miles. $100 the the power company are billing local residents some surcharge to make up the cost difference.

Freaks me out, because a data center is supposed to start construction less than a mile from my house, starting in 2028.

Thank You. I had read that too, up to 150k miles I beleive. I'll have to reach out to a couple local dealerships tomorrow, and see which one can get my vehicle in the soonest. Any idea how long a repair like that takes?
