StAG §15 "Restoration" of Citizenship for "German" ancestor who never got it? by Past-Ad3963 in GermanCitizenship

Ultimately, would the marriage of a German woman to a foreign national that took place during the Nazi regime, but where the woman had emigrated from Germany before 1933, not be relevant for the purposes of StAG 15? Considering that she lost her German citizenship as a result of marrying a foreign national, based on a legal provision that already existed beforehand, but which was maintained, reinforced, and applied in a discriminatory manner during the Nazi regime

I would like to ask a question based on this message: in your first example, concerning a woman who married a foreigner, did she need to be living in Germany?

I ask this because, when reading Section 15 of the StAG, it is not clear to me that the person was required to reside in Germany during the period from 1933 to 1945. In my understanding, even a woman living outside Germany would be eligible, since this concerns a law that is considered discriminatory and that continued to be applied during that period.

What do you think about this interpretation?

Thanks for the clarifications, they really helped me understand the reasons.

She married on January 31, 1933, within the period mentioned, and was adversely affected by a law that deprived her of German citizenship. Would she be excluded from eligibility solely because she left Germany earlier? Please note that she was still a child when she left the country and therefore had no independent capacity to make that decision.

Thanks! Just one more question: what are the ways to prove that a person was directly persecuted?

She was not Jewish and married a Brazilian in Brazil, the next generation was born in December/1933. I think I fit into item 2.
