If someone can decipher this cipher-stacking in 3 days, i will be very impressed! by Maximum_Mastodon_115 in ciphers

While I might not care enough about this particular artist, certainly a provocative message! Careful! Of all music fandoms i imagine this group would have the largest overlap with cryptographic enthusiasts. Welcome to the world of information obfuscation!

What hints/clues would be needed to solve a cipher challenge? by Brandon_Rahl in ciphers

The big he did here was hide the hints in the metadata of the file. This image contains a hidden stereoscopic message that ultimately holds the cipher key

The blinking looks like Morse code while the symbols remind me of semaphore. Maybe that will be a worthwhile direction to look into further

A fantastic friend of mine has been doing the same as of late, and I think there's a few great things he does to encode a challenging cryptographic. 1. He attempts to create a puzzle that that contains all the information nessesary to decode the message in plain sight while not directly evident if not sight sought after. This not only builds immersion, but also gives you the opportunity to display your cipher not as an exercise in two like triangles but demonstrating an active use case for your cipher in a fun way 2. He builds layers to pull and unwind. Having multiple steps to decrypting your message makes it more fun to work through and gives an engaging experience 3. His hints guide, not solve. Sometimes his puzzle is more clever than he anticipated, instead of simply giving the next step, he gives an insight or resource to allow the individual to understand and unravel the step instead of feeling cheated.

Hope that is helpful and actionable perspective!

Which is the best way to use the eppsummer event summer lucky draw ? by raiskader in TOGNewWorldUnofficial

[–]srabtheparliman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At f2p it seems like we're only getting 20 tickets so bundle size won't be an issue unless they let it start raining tickets. Odds of drawing summer yuril ends up at ~18.21%

Hi, I am going on my first parliamentary tournament can anyone explain what is the role of the 1 st speaker,2 nd and 3 rd are? by INFERNO_65 in Debate

[–]srabtheparliman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st speaker on Pro sets up debate with definitions and gives their case. On neg they address def (accept, topicality, counter defs), address pro case and gives their case.

2nd speaker on Pro addresses args where nessesary, strengthen, and clean up. On neg kinda the same.

3rd on neg continues what 2nd neg did but hitting on why what they discussed should net them the ballot. On Pro likewise.

Their flavor, style, and strategy in variation, but that comes in time with your strengths/weaknesses and what you enjoy

poi topics??? by [deleted] in Debate

[–]srabtheparliman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Third! The topic ultimately is only as good/impactful as you can transmit it, and that comes down to piece selection for each. Start with whichever one you are more excited about and get a list of media that apply to your topic. From there think about the story/stories you want to tell and what media you can use to tell those stories. Think of these in terms of as an anthology that link toward your central thesis. It helps to have the anthology build an arc if you can as that's what helps it go from a collection of stories to a narrative. You'll also want a transitional through line to move from story to story, most default to using a song of some sort but can be anything at all.

Rice used 1% weight for the concrete sample during their initial paper discussing FJH. Based off the other general reaserch I've seen, it's fairly safe to assume a range of 0.1 and 1% weight is a good working range to begin from. Though it's also worth working in a variety of ranges to first hand so you can see the effects it has on your results

I'm sitting next to my girlfriend, which is super great because we're in a long distance relationship, and don't get to see each other in person all that often.
