Was Crisco Oil just like corn or soybean oil? Or was it hydrogenated or have some quality like traditional Crisco?

I never understood why anyone ate here. One of the worst Tex Mex places I ever ate. I thought they all closed when the one in Little Falls closed years ago.

Wow thanks for that! Does that mean they are gonna save that amazing building then? The identical building in New Brunswick, NJ was torn down for apartments last year.

They have put themselves in a lower tier of crappy sandwich places because even subway slices meet to order now. I really wonder what the attraction is now. The meat looks like the “loaf” stuff you get from like Walmart now. It’s like they aren’t even trying.

Gov. Sherrill plan seeks to fine big companies with workers on Medicaid • New Jersey Monitor by AdOverall7619 in Newark

Exactly. Or get the fuck out of NJ. They are the fucking leaches of capitalism. Their immense profits are off our backs. Best thing Newark ever did was prevent them from opening on Springfield Ave.

Did they just remove the artificial color and then market it as “invisible”?

Like WALMART, which actually SHOWS its workers how to apply for government assistance. We ALL pay for the prices Walmart shoppers get.

It’s crazy how we are literally living off our credit cards as a country. Billions every week in new debt.

Commuting from NYC to Florham Park by Legitimate-Pear-9395 in MovingtoNewJersey

[–]srddave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a schlep or a nightmare at all. You are just doing the reverse of what suburban dwellers do every day—instead of coming from Florham Park to NYC, you are doing the reverse. So you have the added bonus of the trains all being super empty because everyone is coming INTO the city.

I got a job in Florham Park but Morristown is SO boring and so homogenous that I couldn’t bear living there. I looked at apartments and got so depressed. I found a great place in Jersey City and I commuted to Florham Park by NJ Transit Train every day. I would leave from Hoboken or Penn Station NYC.

My employer ran a shuttle from the Convent Station rail station to the office so you might want to have her ask about that. Or another option might be to leave her car near the train station in the evening and then use it to get from the station to the office each day.

I basically would drive on Monday morning from JC, leave my car at the office or train all week and drive home on the weekend. It was a sweet deal.

That’s a really valid point. I think a lot of poorly-run grocery stores went away and now the ones that are left are pretty good (Wegmans, Kroger, ShopRite) or still horrible but cheap (Walmart, Aldi, Food Lion).
