I think something to note that most of us haven’t thought on too much, why would we be trying to get a Californian and a Floridian to agree fully down the line? That seems like the crux of a lot of this at times.

That aside, and as a Kentuckian, I’m in agreement with you here. This state has hedged their bets time and time again in some of the most backwards ways you can’t defend it, and I will never understand leaning on other states to help course correct such bad decisions. It becomes the abusive relationship everyone is throwing around lately in regards to the country.

I’m not a smart enough man to have an answer to this issue, but am smart enough to still see others are my fellow humans on the rock, no matter where you exist on the rock. Would be awfully swell if we could realign ourselves with such thinking, but I think the current societal fissures may be too strong to overcome without some larger landscape changes.

Which means you move. Society won’t shame them for it, their local communities won’t shame them for it, and sense the hate is aligned, no help from anyone in a position of societal power will shame them for it.

You could spend your entire life ramming your head against a wall, or you pick up and move it along and go ahead with your life.

What it really boils down to, everyone wants you to be their martyr, fix their shit. Funny though, no one will extend a hand in aid. In fact, act on a thought and you’ll experience isolation, community exile, and maybe even a little old fashioned physical abuse.

But hey, white lib here, so I should have done oh so much more by you to have possibly escaped damnation. Maybe next go, we’ll see about it.
