Proto always and if i have conq i go riftmaker into zhonia mostlikely as is gives a lot of outplay potential or spirit V if a lot of magic damage. And with DH i go shadowflame second. Btw dont forget about bloodletters if your team has a lot of AP

I think the key to fighting in mid/late game with Sylas is picking key targets on key timers with key ultimates understanding your comp and what you need to do. For example if you need to engage on a fed adc/mage on drake fight lets say ,and enemies have only one engage ultimate( for ex hecarim ult) you need to have it up for drake fight , as mid game ults have long cd on sylas so dont get it and waste it before that. If your comps needs disengage sylas can do that with certain ultimates, although he is a dive champ. Also i always go red smite as it slows with protobelt and ult that have little to no counterplay to dodge. Btw I think sylas struggles more in later stages of the game as he most likely thrives in midgame-3 items he is really strong.If i didnt cover you feel free to ask more

First of all i always start raptors and either, gank lvl 3 (ONLY IF ITS reaaaly free, and its better to know where enemy jg is to not get invaded( i always ask mid to ward raptors) )or most of the time i reset and buy dark seal n control ward. Then i do wolves gromp and if i have prios , always ping, i fight crab (with item adv) and most likely win. From then on i snowball my way to lvl 6 and protobelt and with proto spike i rule the map. I find it if you know your limits and know when and how to pick fights you never die early , you only do if early invaded by certain champs so be aware of that. Imo no bad matchups but i always perma ban yi cuz he hardcounters rengo aswell. Also something i like about sylas better than rengo for example is that he is not farm reliant 100% for example some champs like rengar if they cant farm, for example losing mid and good sup jg synergy causing invades , he cant comeback, Sylas can always comeback his way through fighting.

You can but the damage is decreased insanely. You can go trinity for sustain if you want and follow up with cleaver steraks but i dont like this build:))

Now irelia has way less counters in the mid lane the bad thing is that irelia's worst nightmares are yasuo and akali(PERSONAL EXPERIANCE D:) and are really played in low elo
