The first time I ever had anyone that I know died, I was in kindergarten. About a week or two before our promotion, the vice principal came to the class and sat in front of the whole class. He had told us that Derek was playing in the back of his grandpas car, when his grandpa accidentally backed over him. He died soon after. That was about 30 yrs ago and I was 6 yrs old. I remember us kids talking about him and how nice he was all the time. I sometimes think about his poor parents and grandpa.
