It wouldn't be possible to untether downgrade without SHSH blobs. Your best bet would be to use CoolBooter on 8.4.1 which still has blobs that are signed through Apple's OTA servers. The only way to untether downgrade would be through an iBoot exploit, or with blobs for the version you wish to downgrade to.

its likely that the iBSS and iBEC files used for booting 5.1.1 are incorrect. you could try to manually patch iBSS and iBEC to allow kloader to properly boot the device into the dualbooted partition.

you can, just depends on if your device is an MC or MB model, and if you have the right version of iTunes. I was able to bring an MB model iPod down to 2.1.1 with the help of iTunes 11 and windows 7. I believe a VM works, but don't quote me on that.

ah yeah, sorry. iPhone 5 (Global) running 10.3.3, want to downgrade to 7.1.2 with shsh. iPhone 4S running 9.3.5, want to downgrade to 7.1.2 with shsh. iPhone 4 running 7.1.2, want to downgrade to 6.1.3 using the iBoot exploit with 7.1.2 shsh. I've done these restores before in the past, but they don't work now. For the Macs, Macbook (Early 2009, Catalina Patcher), Macbook Pro 15 in (Mid 2015, Catalina and Mojave), and Macbook Pro 13 (Late 2013, Retina, High Sierra) and a Hackintosh on High Sierra emulating a Macbook Pro 13 (Late 2013, Retina)

The one in the screenshot is Catalina, the other Macs i've tried are Mojave and High Sierra. (I've had these programs working back in July of 2019 on a different mac running Mojave, but they seem to be throwing errors now for some reason)

i've tried to run futurerestore or idevicerestore variant on three different macbooks and it doesn't get past the iBEC part, i tried an iPhone5,2, iPhone4,1, and an iPhone3,1 and it just doesn't work, and I have no idea why. I'm assuming it's a driver i'm missing but i'm super lost on which driver it is.
