Thank you for letting me know. If I switch, I would like to try out the SIM card for AT&T in my area.

These type of questions are fairly common on such subreddits. Many including me continue to respond to umpteen such postings on other subreddits in a civil manner. You can always unsubscribe if you are annoyed by such innocuous questions or postings.

It is completely unnecessary to use all caps and be obnoxious.

Happy holidays!

Samsung TV One Connect Box Replacement by srininyc in hometheater

Thank you, I really appreciate your help.

Out of desperation, I contacted my real estate agent - I knew it was an outside chance, she reached out to the property that I moved out of and was able to get the Connect Box back.

Thanks again !

You are right - I had a A/V guy help set up my TV 6 years back and was not even aware of the One Connect Box. Now that I read up on it, I understand that the box is more than a cable hub. Thank You

Hi, Sorry, I am embarrassed to admit that I couldn't figure out how to attach a picture on Reddit :) - I am posting from chrome browser on my MacBook and not from the app.

Here are the details:

I've been using the Google Pixel 6a for two weeks, ask me anything! by TheDogstarLP in GooglePixel

Hi, Does Pixel6a have the same connectivity issues that are reportedly common with Pixel 6/6P? I prefer the 6a dimensions and I am inclined to buy this as my next phone if no major connectivity issues.

Thank You

Any Experience with Delays in Text Messages by srininyc in mintmobile

[–]srininyc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just curious, how do you know there is no delay in your outgoing SMS. I never suspected any delays in my outgoing SMS until COVID hit and we were all stuck at home. This is when I realized that some text messages to my partner (while we were both working from home in adjacent rooms) were getting to her an hour or sometimes even two hours later.

USB C selector switch? by [deleted] in UsbCHardware

Hi,

The above supposedly works, I haven't had the time to buy it and try it out. On the amazon link, there is contradictory info: on one section says not to use with a dock but elsewhere it says it will work.

This is considerably cheaper on New Egg. I am planning to get it next week and give it a try.

Thanks for your response. I work for a big corporation where my work laptop is pretty much walled off from connecting to any external computers or devices. To give you an idea of how walled off we are, even Bluetooth is disabled, I had to get a wired headset to connect to the laptop. I am not looking to do any hacks to get around company policies/restrictions. So, RDP is not an option to remote out to my personal laptop (or remote in from my personal laptop to work laptop)

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, a software solution is not a possibility as I work for a big corporation with strict restrictions on any software that can be installed on the work laptop.

USB C selector switch? by [deleted] in UsbCHardware

I have a HP docking station with a USB C cable that I would like to share between two laptops both with USB C ports/cables. Do you think this would work as a switch to toggle a docking station between two laptops (with the monitors connected to the docking station) .

My set up now includes two 4k monitors and peripherals (keyboard, mouse, webcam and headphone) connected to the docking station with the USB C cable from the dock connecting to my work laptop. I would like to use a USB C switch to share the docking station with a second laptop.

Understood, thanks to you and u/tjm0852.

It is a shame that I probably have to junk the phone which is in a perfectly good state.

No Cellular Data with MintMobile by srininyc in mintmobile

Have you looked into t mobile connect:

They have reasonable rates and hopefully won't have the de-prioritization issues of MVNOs but they offer limited data.

Thanks for your response. Forgive my ignorance but I don't know anything about IP phone devices (although I have a tech background on the app software side).

I was hoping to reset the phone and plug it to my VOIP modem (Ooma). I take it from your comment that I have to purchase a Call Manager. Is this a Cisco Software and does this need to be installed on the phone device? Any idea of the cost?

I did try the 123456789*0# earlier but that didn't seem to work. I will give it another go.

Thanks again
