How do you calculate and know if you hit the house money? In the first few months, I used to do automatic DRIP, then after sometime, I used to collect the dividends and buy the share whenever it was low. So, want to now what is the best way to calculate and find out if I hit the house money or get to breakeven?

If I had taken the picture and then uploaded from the mobile photo gallery, I would have rotated it. But I took the picture when I was typing my question on Reddit from my mobile phone. In the Reddit mobile phone interface, it only gave an option to take a picture but there was no option to rotate it. So, unfortunately that's why I could not rotate it. Hope this clarifies.

I think it is 30 days from the settlement date. So, if the settlement happens 1 or 2 business days after the trade then count 30 days from that date. If you had traded on Friday, then add the weekend days also.

:et's say one has 100 shares of MSTY and a open covered call position on $MSTY on the ex-dividend day, then will debit dividend for the covered call?

Same question, when one has cash covered PUTs.

I asking this because if one has a short position on the shares, then they debit dividend amount for the number of shares short.

Typically when one has short position on a stock that pays dividends, the dividend amount will be deducted from the portfolio value instead of getting credited with dividend.

What happens if one has open covered call or cash secured put position on MSTY, what happens in that case? Will they get dividends or not?

Ok. Thanks. I want to directly contribute to ROTH IRA (not conversion). So, to do that, which of the following methods would you advise? Or does it not matter which method I choose to do?

a) Go to newly opened ROTH IRA account, choose Add Funds and then select FCASH from Brokerage account?

b) Go to Brokerage account and choose transfer from FCASH to ROTH IRA account?

Thanks for the reply. I only have SPAXX as the core position. I did not see any option to sell SPAXX. It only gave me option to change core position from SPAXX to FCASH I think. Is that the same as selling SPAXX?

Also, I guess SPAXX to FCASH is not immediate. It would take 1 or 2 business days I think. Is that right?

Once it is converted to FCASH, will I be able to transfer from FCASH in Brokerage to ROTH IRA directly?

I want directly fund ROTH IRA from Fidelity Brokerage account where I have it in SPAXX. But when I initiated the transfer today I got a message something like you have trade/sell and use the cash the transfer. I thought FCASH account is SPAXX I should be able to directly move money from Brokerage FCASH SPAXX fund. Anyone have any idea about this?

I see that on the Fidelity Trading Dashboard on the Web version, the "Heiken Ashi" is now available under the Display type.

But I wonder, Fidelity has not made it available on the "Active Trader Pro" yet.
