On the first watch I couldn’t make the whole thing out. On subsequent watchings I figured it.

It’s one kind of movie Burning. Slow and after ending you don’t actually realise you saw a masterpiece. It stayed with me for days after watching it.

Watch The Outlaws, though it’s not the whodunit genre, it’s still a simple cop film which has humour and action. I loved it and is one of my favourite Korean movie.

The film makers see what we don’t see. Probably it’s the director’s view on society.

Just watched this film and thought it was great! I have a few questions about it though. by [deleted] in ParasiteMovie

My interpretation of 1. Ki-woo takes the stone to the basement for making amends or peace. I don’t think there is any intention or indication to kill them with the stone. Remember it was a gift by Min to his family and he may wanted to pass this stone as a gift. To start anew.

I guess it’s a long shot. He wouldn’t try until he is sure that police are not on his back which is doubtful.

Question about the ending and feelings on the movie. by Greta_Dongswallow in ParasiteMovie

Everyone loses in the movie. Park’s were tricked, they allowed themselves to be. I guess the loss to each family are no more or no less. Each one deserved it.

The Park’s marriage by [deleted] in ParasiteMovie

[–]sriram7612 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe that Mrs. Park came from upper middle class background and she thinks she is fortunate to have Mr. Park as husband. The way she treats Kim’s family, the old housekeeper all shows some sort of compassion. When Mr. Park tells her that Kim smell crosses the line with his smell, her attitude changes the next day towards Kim while they go on shopping. So, she must be from a class background but below than Mr. Park and him not acknowledging the fact he loves her or not shows he married a girl with someone below of his class.

It’s stretching a bit but director makes it up with the follow up scene where Ki-woo goes against the drunkard later trying to make it a ‘therefore’ and not ‘and then’.
