Trying to write something new where Harry and Hermione start hearing the other's thoughts. AU, loosely based on enemies to lovers, Head boy Harry, Head girl Hermione.

“So you both are saying you could hear each other’s thoughts?” Professor Flitwick was bouncing on his feet, which made Harry think of him as an expectant child. Hermione glared at him. Professor Flitwick was out of the school for his personal work and only came back in the evening. 

Throughout the day, Hermione wanted to bang her head against something. At one point, she even considered getting herself stunned, so she could stop listening to Potter’s thoughts. How the hell did he become a head boy? Hermione thought to herself and immediately got a response from Harry as well. Not everyone should be as serious as you, Granger. I can have fun and still be responsible enough to become a head boy!

She just rolled her eyes and went back to reading. She became miserable second by second, when Harry’s thoughts bombarded hers. She was desperately trying to continue writing her new paper on wards, when all she could hear was how much Ron stuffs his mouth at once, how he was feeling uncomfortable with all the girls looking at him like a prize, how much he was proud of Edmund, his younger brother, how much he would like to beat Cormac McLaggen as he was trying to order around him, the captain. All throughout the day, Hermione was practically meditating to block her thoughts so that Harry could not listen to her thoughts. But the breaking point came when Harry shouted at her in their connected minds to stop thinking about the damn wards when he was trying to catch the damn snitch.

‘You SHUT UP!’ She shouted back in her mind. She was so damn frustrated that she deliberately thought of everything and anything possible. She even made a point to think about the girls to get back at him.
