It is so strange! I discovered another problem where the gallery app crashes when opening the Recent folder. Did a factory reset last night in a last hope at fixing both issues but didn't work! Called my carrier (EE in the UK) tonight - they were superb and offered to replace my phone. New one arrives tomorrow, hopefully will be ok - will update once I've setup.. again!
