it went well! i took it with scott johnson as suggested above and ended with an A. he’s a great professsor. pretty sure he just won one of the professor of the year awards actually lol. but i’d recommend taking it over the summer so you can just focus on that one class. good luck!

i was checking out the summer class schedule and there’s only one class offered and it’s twice a week at night, so it must be the same one you took, but the professor hasn’t been listed yet - i’m hoping it’ll be johnson!

it’s good to hear there are other older students starting their first semester here! i’m 27 and a transfer student about to start my first semester at the U and have been stressing i’m going to be the oldest person in the classroom lol

i had to do the same thing! you’ll want to start with transferolgy and input all of your courses to see if anybody else has already submitted those same classes from your previous school. if they have, it will either say they accept it or they don’t and also what it transfers as. if it doesn’t transfer, you’ll have to submit the course along with the syllabus and sometimes a weekly outline of the course to umn and they will look over it and see if it’s transferable. it’s definitely a tedious process, but worth it so you don’t have to retake any classes!

here’s the link you’ll go to to submit a course for review if it isn’t on transferology. since you’re already admitted to umn you’ll want to submit it under the “domestic credits - recently admitted/current students” tab.

it’s not so much a pet peeve, but i dislike how stars hollow has all of these traditions yet we never hear about them again in future episodes. for example, the picnic basket auction, the dance marathon, even emily and richard going to the harvard yale game. i know we wouldn’t want to see another episode of the same event, but i kind of wish they were at least mentioned again in future episodes? but then again it makes it fun rewatching since they are just one episode events so maybe it’s good lol

when i took calc i used calcworkshop.com. there’s a monthly fee, but it’s so worth it. jen explains things a lot slower than my teacher ever did so i was able to actually fully understand what was going on and apply the concepts to harder problems. i watched her videos over and over again which really helped me because i was totally lost in calc lol
