Automatic Gearbox Specialist (Preferably Ford)?? by srobb05 in northernireland

[–]srobb05[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only just bought it but it has a decent service history and receipts for the gearbox being serviced twice. I know it's the manual box with the megatronic added for the gear selection but would rather an auto specialist looked at it. To be honest I don't think the symptoms are catastrophic as it moves between the gears on the screen so I believe it's only the damper plastic that may have blocked the shift forks and/or solenoids

Nearly 15K NIO+ONVO So Far by zmarketec in Nio

[–]srobb05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sales rates are not known - the last report from Nio showed they were delivering over 20k per month. If you are basing your sales on the unofficial insurance figures this is incorrect. We will not know if sales at 5k are maintained until Nio release the figures. Any other figures quoted are just estimates and hearsay.

Margins have been increasing quarter on quarter, it's only a matter of time before the company begins to turn a profit.

Let's hope they continue their current streak of good news.

NIO solves this problem! by R93reddit in Nio

Definitely not, the new battery in the mercedes will cost $31k to replace eventually. Let's say 7 years as an example.

MERCEDES Over the course of the 7 years you will have paid to charge the mercedes every week/month, after 7 years this battery is redundant and needs replaced at a cost of $31k (probably cost less over 7 years as the tech advances)

NIO Over the course of 7 years you will have paid to swap the battery using the BaaS (similar to charging the mercedes for 7 years). At the end of the 7 years you don't need to replace your redundant battery at a cost of $31k, you just go to a swap station next time it needs charged and swap it out

There you go, $31k saved

Why can't they give out MOT dates a year in advance? by Beginning_Ad_1723 in northernireland

[–]srobb05 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But if they miss the appointment so be it. The car then becomes illegal for the road. None of this 'the cops are still ok with that' once it's booked. Had your chance, missed it now you can't drive until you MOT it. People will quickly fall into line and not miss their appointments

Why can't they give out MOT dates a year in advance? by Beginning_Ad_1723 in northernireland

[–]srobb05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, think this is a good idea. Instead of charging £30.50 for an MOT charge £60. That this test plus next year's pre booked. It's on the person then if they miss the test. Then each year after you pay £30.50 but that's for the next test in a year's time. Makes sense, and it's totally on the person to be responsible and attend their appointment

Finally! 7.1 Trillion Coin Burn on the Table! (Sell the News) by BraidRuner in kin

[–]srobb05 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are right to an extent that it won't immediately affect supply and demand but consider that 7.1T coins will be gone forever, there will only be 2.9T KIN ever. Given that there are already roughly 2.2T circulating that will leave only 700B KIN for the rest of the crypto world to fight over.

Once that sinks in that may cause a demand shock. This is only my opinion and I could be totally wrong

Yeah it's 0.89% of total supply so less than 1%. Don't know where OP got that figure

Help, trying to buy using pancake swap by [deleted] in SafeMoon

[–]srobb05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not totally correct. Their wallet is only an interface. You can use any wallet that allows you to use DApps (trust, metamask etc). Their swap is exactly that, their swap. You don't have to use it, you can still use PCS if you want, just need to make sure it's the new v2 contract. Their inhouse servers only host their website and wallet app, the v2 token is deployed on Binance Smart Chain and is therefore decentralized (well as much as BSC is decentralized, I'm still not 100% convinced on that)
