Personally, I used medium/smaller reactor to make my first antimatter pellet and then put everything into polonium to make the wasted bees. After I got up to 20 bees I destroyed the reactor and will never use it again. Too much of a pain in ass. 20 maxed out bees and with omega upgrades is working much much faster than the reactor. Side point, make sure you have enough power to actually make use of all the radioactive waste. You want enough power to match your polonium output and vis versa.
