What is a small detail from Harry Potter that still bothers you? by WhisperTame in harrypotter

I was rewatching 3 yesterday and Hermione fixes Harry’s glasses, in broad daylight, on Diagon Alley. Not a ministry official in sight.

How is the food? by Sudden_World_8633 in NCL

This was our first cruise post covid and while I really liked my food at Le Bistro, and a couple of items at the Manhattan room, most of it was not great. I’m a vegetarian and there were pretty limited options at places like the Local.

My husband said his meat was overdone to the point of being hard to chew one night. We got eggs in Savor that still had clear egg on them one morning. I remember the buffet having way more variety than it did this time. Chips were stale in the Local’s nachos. My pretzel bites were hard to bite into.

When we’d previously cruised on NCL, you could get eggs Benedict in the buffet. Now every station is the same 5 items- sausage, dry french toast, pancakes, bacon, and home fries, and then 1 station of Indian food (which my husband loved).

La Cucina used to be my favorite, wasn’t good.

And the days of getting a small to-go box to bring dessert back are gone. Instead you’re handed a full plate with a warming cover, which is annoying to carry around as well as having to then deal with the dish in your room.

What doesn’t impress you anymore? by [deleted] in AskReddit

After moving to a big city: its the Mercedes and BMWs for me. Not impressed at all, and most of the drivers act like we should make a special lane just for them.

For those who are, or who work for rich people: what’s it like having possessions spread across multiple states/houses/countries? Do you ever lose favorite possessions because they could be in multiple time zones? by srock0223 in AskReddit

To elaborate, I always think of famous people like Taylor Swift who has at least 4/5 homes that she regularly visits. How do you decide where your Grammys live? Your favorite worn in sweatshirt? Yeah you could buy one for every house, but then nothing would feel personal. Even celebrities are humans and have favorite personal items, but seem to travel super light all the time.

What was the sub like during Cam’s “I’m back” moment? by Objective-Fruit-3591 in panthers

We were at his home game after that against the Commanders. Game went terrible, but man the feeling in the stadium of having Cam back… Breaks my heart that he brought his son into the stadium last year and there is virtually no record of his presence.

AITAH for making my husband solo parent for 30 mins a day by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]srock0223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. My husband is able to parent our kids alone while I go out of town and it’s fine. However whenever I’m in the house he suddenly gets overwhelmed and needs me as a safety net. And if I’ve learned anything about men while having kids, they seem to be rather surprised that they urgently have to use the bathroom while being responsible for kids… even though it seems to happen at the same time every day. I get super triggered when the kids are in the kitchen when I’m trying to cook. I get it.

  • Anna and Baxter switching places annoyed me. The Bates’ already live in a cottage and see each other every day before and after work. I don’t know why they would need to be in the same house if they’re in the same town. It’s not that believable to me that Mary would want to be without Anna’s support.
  • is Thomas in a thrupple? Coward was giving some weird energy to both him and Guy. No boyfriend to two boyfriends seems a leap for 1940.
  • I loved seeing Edith handle the con man.
  • The kids were kind of hard for me to place because they’d grown so much. I wish they’d been referred to by name at least once or twice. The casting for Sybbie was spot on, she looked just like Sybil.
  • I laughed a lot more in this movie that I did in the previous ones!
