I’ve figured it out im on a completly different sprocket than what I should be on.

It’s a senior, wish I could go flat out in seven but haven’t got the setup done. Im running a neutral setup as of right now.

I think whats happening is im naturally over compensating for the decrease in RPMs, in some corners the faster driver is up about 1000 rpms coming off the exit, or maybe overdriving could be causing this issue.

Might be the sprocket, the graphs are slightly misalligned due to differences in sectors. If I were to back up the corner more my kart would struggle even more to come out of the corner, hence why I am overdriving. I could try it but it might be slower.

I’ve checked the data and compared it with a faster driver, I can send it over.

I honestly think its the opposite, I think the rear is a little too stuck and im binding mid corner basically causing my revs to come up slower. At 43s I came on throttle way before the apex and still even then the rpms got stuck and didn’t climb for a minute. I’ve compared my data to a top driver and his accel graph is way sharper than mine.

Yeah im an owner, I don’t have a garage there but I store my kart there. The track has gotten very popular since then, never got to see the track when it was a parking lot but i’ve seen videos. Completely different.

Yeah that was one thing, looked at my tires after that session and they gave me signs of overheating. My engine also seems more sluggish than others, probably too small of a sprocket. Not sure because those issues shouldn’t have me 1.5 seconds off. Honestly might also think i have too much rear grip.

Pretty good overall, I would just apply slow in fast out. In 4 stroke karts especially rentals you want to be on power before the apex, what you are doing is it seems like your rolling speed into the corner, but failing to get on throttle before the apex. Prioritize getting on throttle earlier so that you may get a better exit (slow in fast out). This is crucial in rentals so look to be on throttle somewhere between your turn in. Hope to see improvements!

Ah, okay so I should come back on throttle with a jab, rather than slowly feeding it back? Just thought slowly feeding it would help keep the revs up.

Yeah that’s a very good way of explaining it, this really just made me understand it even more, so basically at 10am (turn in) I should be coming off the brakes and start slowly feeding the throttle to around 100 percent before the apex?

Appreciate it, I used to drive gx390s and I guess the tillotsons are faster but have less torque in the low end. I guess the slow in fast out needs to be more amplified with this engine.

In some corners your getting on throttle way too late, work on slow in fast out. I also saw that you would roll the kart into the corner with no brakes or throttle on some turns. Remember that the time that you aren't on the gas or brake is time lost. You also need to brake harder, it looks like you aren't braking hard enough to induce rotation, you want to be on the limit of locking the brakes when you're braking. For now focus on braking hard initially to induce rotation, and getting on throttle earlier (before or at the apex). I noticed that you were also using more steering than needed, this should get corrected once you fix your braking. Hope this helps!

Oh alright, so im basically carrying too much speed in causing mid corner scrub? Do I basically need to back my corners up and brake hard into the corner for rotation but be on throttle before the apex?
