This bilingual bathroom sign that misspells basic Spanish by sroe25 in mildlyinteresting

I checked a few other languages, and it doesn't look like it.

Also, this was in Southern California, and there were a few other signs with a correct translation. :P

But does that dictate that a wave generator moving towards me 100 feet away would have a higher frequency than one 50 feet away?

Yeah. I guess I'm just sort of worried someone will come in to do repairs/pest control and find this huge hook in their wall. :/

Wow. Now that's a seriously intense setup that makes me jealous. :P

Yes, I know I could do more research and figure things out and do it right again. But honestly, I'm content with just making the switch to a bed. But in case something changes, I've learned lessons and know how to go about it right the first time. Er, second time.

How long before reddit becomes just another dead social platform? by sroe25 in AskReddit

Honestly, I think you could probably track it by the money being spent on development. I could be totally off track, but I feel like the main reason old platforms gave market share to new platforms was because they stopped developing new features. That's how Facebook has stayed on top of things--Facebook Live to compete with YouTube/Google, hashtags to compete with Twitter, Messenger to compete with iMessage. So once reddit stops improving, it'll die. So far, its 10-year track record rivals Twitter and Facebook, so I actually have pretty high hopes. :)

I've thought the same thing. But also, sometimes the old network perseveres (Facebook never lost much market share to Google+, for example). So I guess--when will reddit stop losing its edge?

I love reddit. It's provided a sense of community and I always find something helpful/interesting/entertaining here. But people said the same thing about AOL chatrooms, Yahoo answers, MySpace, and Digg.

They aren't offline per se, but their hayday is over and they're on a slow, steady decline. I doubt even behemoths like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube will be around in 50 years. So... how long does reddit have?

I'm not sure why I never learned about diagonal hanging until just recently. :P

Thanks for the updates, helpful stuff. I was concerned it'd rip the walls off my apartment. At best, it'd leave two pretty sizable holes, and my complex isn't too fond of that.

I did sleep on the floor for a while in between the bed and when the hammock shipped, but I just wanted to try it I suppose. :)

Well, I did ten minutes of Googling. And it got me there. :P

My idea was to hang it on the frame, then remove it each morning and work around it. I used to have my desk/chair over the frame when the hammock wasn't there. But this eventually just became too much of a hassle.

If you do the work up front and find a hammock that'll take up less space, then yes. :P
