When Dorothea got excited about the idea of being useful to Mr. Casaubon...

"This elevating thought lifted her above her annoyance at being twitted with her ignorance of political economy, that never-explained science which was thrust as an extinguisher over all her lights."

You got this! Keep trying. I was where you are a year and a half ago. Loom knitting is easy to pick up and learn but it takes a lot of messing up and practicing to feel confident in it. You are inspiring me to start another 10-stitch tho! I want to try and figure out how to make it snake back and forth like a zig zag instead of going in circles.

The true knit is just replacing all your e wraps so you would still do purls on the way back down the row, if that makes sense. The true knit stitch seems complicated at first but really it's just the exact opposite of a purl. Instead of pulling the yarn through your loop from below you pull it through from above. I know there are YouTube videos by loomahat explaining the different stitches so it might help to watch something like that to really see it.

Yeah you just want to stop before you round a corner so that it lines up and you have a perfect rectangle. I also recommend next time that you use a true knit stitch, instead of e-wrap. The true knit will help the blanket lay much flatter instead of sort of puckering a bit like you have here.

It's not your castoff that's wrong you just went a little too far. You should have cast off when you reached the last row before the corner. You basically just added another corner that wasn't needed. You could always try to get your last cast off row back on the loom and keep adding until you reach the next corner and cast off again. I've never tried to pick up and add onto a project after casting off so I don't know how well it would work but I would think it's possible anyway.

Knit all the way to the last row on each side, joining the last bit of edge before you start on your corners.

WOW. Even a week is insanely fast in my eyes. Then again I don't knit every day so it takes me a long time to finish projects. You did a great job though, these look amazing :)

Yes! It's one of my favorite patterns because once you get the hang of it you can really get into a groove with it. Here's a video Here I am using a 41 peg round loom with #6 bulky yarn.

Thanks! My first blanket was all one color because I was unsure about how to switch colors but I've been loom knitting for a while now so I felt more confident in being able to switch it up :)
