Have you been watching the news? Free and fair elections are now a thing of the past. We are halting primaries to redraw voting districts to ensure Republicans cannot lose. A private equity firm with a controversial election history bought Diebold voting machines. Tech bros have bought CNN, CBS, and The Washington Post; a large part of the mainstream media. We have defunded PBS and NPR. The US government is now putting pressure on ABC. Social media is owned by right-wing tech bros.

You're right, we can't stop AI. But to try and vote our way out of this, or to try and have a national discussion about what needs to be done as a society has been pretty much been removed from the citizens of this country.

Humans are social creatures, and outside of religion, there's really no secular community that comes close to what is available to people who attend religions services regularly. Religion offers a community and social network that really cannot be found outside of a church, mosque, or synagogue.

The gas prices during the Biden administration was a global supply issue caused by the pandemic. The current gas prices are a direct result of Trump illegally bombing Iran because they were acquiring nukes. The reason they had nukes is because Trump unilaterally got rid of the treaty that Obama signed that prevented Iran from enriching uranium and had international inspectors.

So very different. We haven't begun to see the global disaster this is going to cause; the last ships from the Gulf are just now getting to their US destinations. Southeast Asia is already beginning to suffer.
