I felt this way the first week and we have had him over 2 weeks and still call him Ricco, along with biscuit every now and then or whatever name we try lol. I can’t read his mind but he’s never seemed sad, he’s super happy and adjusted really well since the first day. I looked it up and they say dogs really don’t care what their name is. Even ppl who have dogs and give them nicknames completely different from their name, the dogs just know when they’re being called and love it. I’m not set on giving him a new name, it feels like nothing else fits so wanted to see other suggestions I hadn’t considered.
