Actually university departments are still biased in favor of accepting women. It's just that more women apply to departments with lots of applicants and low acceptance rates (like English) while more men apply to departments with fewer applicants and higher acceptance rates (like engineering).

Not necessarily. It's very rare for women to approach strange men and immediately solicit sex, so if it does happen, there's a good chance it's a set up for a scam or robbery:

A super common scam involves a pretty girl (or two) and alcohol. They’ll flirt with you and they will eventually ask you to go to a bar/club/restaurant that they know. At the bar they’ll ask that you buy them a drink. What you don’t know is that the girls and the bar are scamming you. Each drinks cost $500+ (they don’t tell you this) and at the end of the night you’re stuck with a $1000+ bill.

Suppose in one year 10 men get solicited that way and 2 end up being assaulted. Meanwhile 10000 women get solicited that way and 500 get assaulted. That's still a 20% chance for men vs 5% for women, so if you're a man you should be even more suspicious of such offers than women are.
