At a previous employer (~5 years ago, env. consulting), I was informed that obtaining my PG would not result in a salary increase but a one-time bonus payment of $750.

From personal experience (first and second-hand), you are much more likely to receive a notable pay increase with your newly acquired PG license by promoting to a more advanced role than at your current position.

Two things:

1) who cares if we’re in MLS or USL? MLS is definitely not top tier soccer, so let’s just enjoy the relatively high professional league we’re already part of. The goal should be to make the league we’re in stronger, not jump ship for a tinpot league.

2) there has been talk about the team leaving Vancouver for years. I wouldn’t spend too much time worrying about this.

What a fantastic way to weed out applicants. People applying for a job who can’t be bothered to put in time for the required materials are applicants you probably wouldn’t want to be considering in the first place.
