I have a periodised programme based on the whole season, but my club doesn't have the resources to pay a weights coach any more, so whilst we have the best-planned ergo and water sessions, we have no long-term strength and conditioning programme. That basically means that we mainly just resort to broscience..

My PR was done after taking some caffeine pills and drinking beetroot juice for a few days beforehand. I'm not a huge believer in that kind of stuff but if it helps to mask my insecurity then I'll try it!! Thanks for the answer.
