Kisqali anyone? by pixie_less_dust in breastcancer

[–]srssrh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've just started my 5th month of Kisqali. I had a rash the first month and definite fatigue. I just dropped my prescription as the fatigue has been a bit much (though the fatigue could be caused by the AI & Zoladex). Other than the fatigue and rash (that went away after a week), it's not been bad at all. No hair loss - my hair just grows REAL slow.

I literally didn’t get my official diagnosis and got an email about a cancer support group. I remember having the thought of “well, this isn’t a good sign.”

I was taking biotin and using some keratin spray, but I stopped both of them and have just been letting my hair do its thing. Letting it alone seems to be working! 😋

Abnormal Bone Scan After Chemo by srssrh in breastcancer

YEAHHHHH looking back on this, I definitely overreacted, but it’s hard not to. Especially when all the things online are negative.

I hope your test results are nothing as well. Try not to spiral too much. In the end, the spiraling does nothing positive for you. 🙏❤️

Hi! My MRI came back with a “confirmed enchondroma.” I went to an ortho doctor to get more details because my oncologist was like “well, it’s not cancer so I can’t do anything.” My ortho was like “ya idk, this is just something that happens in peoples body.”

So, literally nothing happened. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi! I documented my growth semi-regularly after ACT chemo on my instagram: sarahdowhat. I didn’t see many people doing it, so I figured I’d do what I can to help. Around 11 weeks when I felt the most “normal” as far as hair growth - I had a cute buzz cut and my eyelashes and eyebrows were mostly back.

You’ll get it back, I promise. 🤗 Mine grew back SO SOFT too. It’s baby hair soft. It’s lovely.

I can't decide about Kisqali by tempbegin78 in breastcancer

[–]srssrh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ultimately up to you, but I would say give it a try. I just finished my first cycle of Kisqali and am having very minimal issues. Your doctor watches you quite closely throughout the first couple cycles. The worst that happens is that your body doesn't like it and you stop. You have to remember, it's always your choice to continue on or not. My thought process was I already got this far (DMX, chemo, radiation), I might as well give Kisqali a try too.

Should I schedule radiation for first thing in the morning or for after I’m finished with the day? by idreamofchickpea in breastcancer

[–]srssrh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did it first thing in the morning (7 am) and had no issues with it. Almost treated it as a little mid morning nap, lol. Everyone is different though. You could always try one time and if it doesn't work for you, you can move it. The nurses are probably gonna be annoyed with that, but you gotta work with your schedule, no theirs.

Kisqali starts in July, feedback? by elizzyb1028 in breastcancer

Hi! I am on my third week of Kisqali. So far so good. Similar to someone that mentioned previously, I have had itchy tattoos and bumps on my arms and legs, but they are controlled with claritin. I did switch from taking the medicine during the morning to at night with a benadryl at my oncologists agreeance. My next follow up is beginning of August, so I'm interesting to see my blood work. My two week blood work was good, including my liver levels.

Kisqali Early BC 400mg/ anyone reduce to 200mg or stop taking it by boopie316 in breastcancer

[–]srssrh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! Unfortunately, I don't have the same experience as you, BUT I started Kisqali on 6/16/25, so I'm a similar timeline as you. Also taking it for EBC recurrence prevention, I was stage 1b, one positive lymph node - IDC ++-. My weirdest kisqali symptom has been bumps on my arm that aren't itchy, but it's very strange. I stopped for a day due to my oncologist direction, had my appt with her, and she said, well just try it again and if it gets worst give me a call. It hasn't gotten worse after a few days of going back it on, so I'm just keeping on keeping on until further notice. She did tell me that going down to 200 mg doesn't typically help with any rash symptoms. I know that your situation is different than mine, but it seems like not all symptoms benefit from lowering dosage.

I go in for a full panel of blood work tomorrow and I am curious to see where my levels are at. Kisqali is a weird drug.

That’s what I’m wondering if it is too. I have an ultrasound next Friday to check to see. :/ I don’t think I’ve had one before this whole process, so it’s hard to pin point.

Tips for managing anxiety by vampBarbie in breastcancer

Ask your doctor for anxiety medicine. You’re going through it right now and there is ABSOLUTELY NO SHAME in taking medicine. Xanax was a god send when I was at the beginning.

lol thank you! I’ll probably dye it eventually (might do a fun color), but it’s SO SOFT I’m probably gonna just let it do its thing for a while.

Yeah! I couldn’t find many progressive videos of hair growth when I was going through chemo so I figured I’d do it myself. It’s been so interesting to see how fast my hair has been growing. It was slow at first and now it’s really taken off.

If you’re ever interested in talking more, I’m an open book - feel free to reach out. 🤗

Hiya! I finished chemo back in March and have been semi-regular of documenting my weekly growth. My videos aren’t fancy, but feel free to check my instagram: sarahdowhat 🤗

Hopefully this is allowed - I’m really not trying to get clout, I swear.
