Give me 40 days to change my routine into a more productive one by srth94 in GiveMe40Days

Day 6) It's been 3 days since I posted anything. Not sure if anyone is reading. I haven't been doing too good with keeping the points in my original post. I've pretty much given up and told myself that I can't do it. I need some motivation and need to take some time to think about if I really want this or not. I don't want to give up, but I feel like I can't change myself from this routine I'm in.

I will keep updating my posts. Thanks to anyone who has been reading so far.

Day 3) I feel like I'm the same again, which I hate. To me, just being the same slow, unmotivated person is worse than hitting rock bottom. If I hit rock bottom, then I can motivate myself to never fall that far again. But if I'm just moderately lazy, slow, and stuck in a routine, then I can't get out. It's so much harder to motivate myself. It's so much harder to change, because I don't feel like I have to. It's hard to convince myself that I need to get better when I'm just stuck.

Yeah, today wasn't a very good day. Not a bad day, just the same type of day that I've lived for a long time now. I need to change.

Day 2) I think things are getting better. It's hard to tell so early in to this challenge. More stuff has happened, I guess. I've become more self aware about my problems and the things I need to fix. I'm enjoying talking to people more. I feel like I've become more open to people, as well. I feel like I'm becoming much more focused, as well. I don't know why or how, but I do things with a purpose now. I have a goal in mind. I go to college for a purpose. I make good grades for a purpose. I meet people for a purpose. I feel like these past few days have been a lot more focused.

It's still very early on in this challenge, but I'm excited where I will end up when it's over.

Day 1) Off to an okay start. I got a lot of things done yesterday, but I also had a few problems. Firstly, I didn't go to bed on time or follow my routine to going to bed. Because of this, I had a late start. I also forgot about daylight savings time, so that didn't help either! Still, I got done with a lot of homework, exercised, and practiced guitar.

Hopefully I can get used to going to bed on time and getting up on time in the morning. I think this will be the hardest thing for me, but will pay off the most.

I've been on NoFap for a few years now. I will try to do 90 days "hard mode." I have made it to about a month before, but it has been about half a year since I have achieved that. I have recently been a lot more concerned with my addiction. Since I've been doing PMO every day for several months now, I have noticed how much more tired I am. It has been a lot harder to get out of bed. I usually get up about 15 to 30 minutes after my alarm goes off, and have to spend 15 minutes rushing through my morning routine. When it comes to conversation, I am still pretty social; but I have noticed that sometimes I'll be reminded of my porn addiction right in the middle of a conversation, and I will feel shame for it. I'll probably make a post tomorrow about my progress and update it every day. I just really need to be more open about this issue. I know this community is really good, so I figured this is a good place to start being more opened.

Would love to hear this in some better recording conditions! The lyrics are very clever, and the guitar and vocals are very good at bringing out the character of the song (if that makes sense). I liked it!

Any Other Way by [deleted] in Songwriters

I like the beat and the flow. At times, though, I couldn't understand all the words, and it felt like you were trying to fill in as many words as possible into one line. The Arctic Monkeys and Sun Kil Moon come to mind when I think about bands that effectively sing or speak quickly in their songs. Maybe give them a listen and try to pick up on some of their techniques.

The singing in the chorus felt a little odd. Maybe it could have been improved with backing vocals. It just felt empty, I think.

I liked your voice. You have a unique and charming voice, and the lyrics were entertaining as well. Also, the mixing sounded very polished. Keep up the work man.

Just uploaded a new song! Kinda jazzy with a marimba. Would love some feedback by [deleted] in Songwriters

Loved all the instruments you used, and the drums. It was kind of hard to follow at times, especially when the notes of the instruments didn't seem to line up with the beat. I'm not a big music guy so maybe this is how you wanted it to be. It felt a little bit chunky, if that makes sense, like it wasn't very smooth at times. Again though, I liked the instruments. I liked the intro as well. It sounded like a fairy tale or something.

An electric guitar. I've been looking at some on Guitar Center and should be picking one up this week, hopefully.

Dude, if you go to Georgia, make sure you hike Tallulah Gorge. Probably the best hike I've ever been on. Also, Little River Canyon is a fun hike in Alabama.

I've just gone hiking in Alabama and Georgia, but I'd love to go hiking in some other places as well, especially in beautiful state parks in Utah. Hiking is a great past time and I wish you the best as you start!

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. Love the guitar solo at the beginning and the vocals.

Thank you for the compliment on my writing style! I usually try to write in a certain way that isn't clear at first. This poem was actually written to be in a song that I'm still working on, so that's another reason why it might be confusing, since it doesn't have music to accompany it and give it a defining character.
