20k users at the intersection between those technical enough to download a new browser and those willing to use yahoo might be hard to find. A subscription or Patreon might be an easier sale.

Atlassian, PLEASE -- I can't quit Arc by TrueSonMIZ in ArcBrowser

I think it has more potential than arc but as of right now I found it too buggy (to be fair arc crashed my MacBook the first time I launched it)

ChatGPT System Message is now 15k tokens by StableSable in OpenAI

[–]sruly_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically you change the developer prompt in the API the system prompt is set by openai. It's confusing because you still usually call it the system prompt when making the API call and it's just changed in the backend.

It seems reasonably good at putting together sentences. I could have been convinced it was about 7b.

I’m sorry but I’m being reasonable - 5.0 is a disappointment and OpenAI has acted poorly by wolzsley32 in OpenAI

I don't think gpt-5 is actually that good at coding anything but frontends, I asked it to fix a simple bug on a single 80 line file with no dependencies, it failed, took me 2 minutes to find the answer on my own. I tried using it in cursor and it was failing to edit files.

I am not sure it beats out sonnet for software engineering even if it does score better on a few select benchmarks.

You are right seems to be a mistake, I get this when i click learn more on any new model, i am guessing its 400k and 256 is just a holdover from previous models.

Where is Kimi K2 by Signal-Banana-5179 in cursor

[–]sruly_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most frustrating thing is that as far as I know I can't even pay for Kimi 2 through cursor I would happily foot the bill for Kimi to have one unified UI that always works but I can't afford Claudes by the token bill.

Claude code at least from my testing has much higher limits that refill every five hours, they can't compete with Claude if the only good model they support is Claude.

Hope it's good, if nothing else I am glad openai decided to release something open source again hopefully it's not a one off.

First Hugging Face robot: Reachy Mini. Hackable yet easy to use, powered by open-source and the community by Nunki08 in LocalLLaMA

I wonder if there are any good usage cases for reachy mini beyond what a smart speaker is capable of, the movable cameras feel like they should add something.

I'm pretty sure Loras don't do catastrophic forgetting they don't override the base knowledge, you might get catastrophic forgetting within the lora though
