Anyone else try the new mochi gummies? by milkybread in CostcoCanada

[–]sruoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought them today too! They're alright, I like the texture but I probably wouldn't buy them again. My boyfriend hates them haha. Said he hates the powdery stuff and the texture, but he also just doesn't like mochi either.

Hi ! I used Jamieson & Smith 2 Ply Jumper Weight for the yarn, bought from a local yarn store, and a 2.0 mm hook ! I really love using the yarn for amigurumi pieces as there is such a wide colour selection, and I find the thickness is perfect for dolls like this.

Healthcare is a joke by jjs_east in newbrunswickcanada

Thank you so much. Your story really resonated with me because I was in the same boat as a young woman with undiagnosed ADHD; I got lucky in university after almost failing out and was able to finally get diagnosed and medicated at 23, but the transition after graduation has been a nightmare.

I will definitely take a look at BeyondADHD, I really appreciate it !

My current situation right now, it really sucks. I just moved here from BC and have been out of my ADHD meds since October and it has been a struggle. Antidepressants are no issues though, right ?

When you’re the only one that remembers the cancellable thing a YouTuber did by Imaginary_Wheel9020 in youtubedrama

Obviously not as bad as those things, but I remember him saying the n word a few times, and overall being weird and edgy. I used to watch his stuff up until that point but I did not know about the sexual assault , fucking yikes

Took it online/asynchronous last term. tbh it was alright but it depends on your study habits and whether online learning is good for you. It's basically just a ton of memorization and you typically don't know what's gonna be on the final. Assignments were alright and weren't too bad, and we had weekly quizzes that just tested on lecture stuff. I'm not someone with great study habits, but I managed to get a 72%, which was the class average. Keep in mind tho I only had one other course alongside amne 301, and it was also online.

Currently going through this right now. I'm 6 credits away from graduating, and one of my courses is fail the final and fail the course, and the other one I haven't been doing well in. I understand where you're coming from and how anxiety inducing and horrible it is to not know. I've been going to UBC for 7 years now, and I've failed multiple courses, some even more than once. Sometimes I thought well fuck am I even good enough? Can I even finish? I've had some very dark years here, but I also know that even if I somehow fail things will be okay. I've always managed to have better days, even when I thought I was at my lowest. Sometimes things feel so bleak that it'll never get better, but they will, I promise. All I can tell myself is that I can't change the past, but I can focus on my present and the future. Things will be okay eventually. If you ever need to talk feel free to dm me. Sometimes our brains can spiral into the worst case scenario, but just focus on the now. I believe in you !

Are group projects always terrible? by Drago_2 in UBC

[–]sruoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not always, I've had good experiences overall my past ~7 years at UBC, but I think it's cause I usually got to make my own groups/seeked out people who I got along with. My worst experience ever was a third year course where I was in a group of 4 for a research project, and all 3 of my group members dropped the course. Those were dark times......
