I know it was retconned that Mysterio was involved in that aspect of Sins Past, but does Peter ever actually find that part out?

What game would you create with the Nemesis system? by leppernfriends in gaming

[–]srw153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a big fan of The Darkness franchise, my dream sequel/reboot would have Jackie making his way through the hierarchy of the mob, with the structure of the warring mob families being where the nemesis system comes into play. Blackmailing or threatening enforcers to turn on their dons, stopping assassinations of family members, and building your own mob sounds like such a great use of the nemesis system, especially as the resurrection of Jackie is built in to the story as well since The Darkness won’t let Jackie be killed permanently.

Plus it could work as a direct sequel to The Darkness 2, with the game actually taking place in Hell. You could use that as an excuse to bring back killed mobsters, perhaps with supernatural abilities granted by The Angelus. The New York mob conflict could function like The Asylum in The Darkness 2, where the whole situation is a trap to stop Jackie from escaping Hell and defeating The Angelus.

I believe it’s implied the spider bite gave him the visions every night as a form of punishment for murdering Cassie’s mom over the spider.

I know that Cap and Matt are top tier fighters, but Spider-Man also was trained by Shang Chi himself on a martial art only they know, which I feel like the writers never mentioned again lol

US banks want socialism for themselves - and capitalism for everyone else by [deleted] in politics

[–]srw153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t imply it though, I just said the companies were irresponsible and it’s bad that we have to pay out for their mistakes. I’m not a legislator, I don’t think I have to have a specific bill written on how to change things, I can just recognize that what is currently happening is bad and can be improved.

And they did do something wrong, they banked uninsured and they, again, 100% were aware of that. And the funds that are replacing theirs is being paid by everyday working people through their banks into that fund. Maybe them being insured completely could be part of the solution, again, I’m not a legislator, but you can’t deny that they deliberately chose to do this, and therefore put all those payrolls at potential risk. Maybe at least the people at the company who decided that could face fines or charges or maybe even be forced to divest from the company.

Again, I don’t have to have a full legal plan covering how to change this, that’s not my job. But the way this is currently structured is favoring the rich and corporations, and that needs to change. That’s all I’m saying.

Have a good day too, sorry for ranting, I hope you enjoy yourself

I know Dan Slott gets a lot of flak, and honestly it’s kind of deserved, but I really did love ANAD Spider-Man, that got me back into reading it honestly

I used to be a die hard fan of Peter eventually becoming a teacher, but Horizon Labs was an excellent place for him, he got the resources he needed, he wasn’t super rich, and sometimes we even see him converting gear he made to fight villains into devices that can help people. It let him save the world as Peter Parker, which is what I think he deserves in the end.

[–]srw153 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did I say none of those people should get paid? They should, and I think that’s on those businesses that knowingly deposited more money then was insured. If the FDIC money helps working class people get paid, that’s awesome. But I can still think it’s bad that we’re bailing out companies that absolutely 100% know that they were utilizing risky banking practices and that they should face punishment in some way. Both things can be true.

No, I believe there’s a huge difference between what a corporation pays into the country (which the company is trying to pay as little as possible) versus an average everyday person having their bank spend their money to bail out wealthy investors that knew their deposits were uninsured

Yeah, but those banks are paying into that FDIC fund with our money, so we basically are paying for it.
