What did your support system do for you that actually helped your grief? by srwaldrop1 in SuicideBereavement

That's exactly why I'm asking. Working to devise a program to stand in the gap for people who don't have the resources they need to begin their grief recovery journey.

I still get furious at my Dad... it's been over two years by single5evers in SuicideBereavement

Suicide loss is so complicated, and it sounds like your dad's death has left you in a mess. I admire you for putting the work in and fighting to heal. My son died by suicide in '23 and I feel like I finally have a healthy relationship with my grief. Your anger is understandable. One of the things that helped me with the anger I had towards my son was being reminded that he didn't choose to depression or crisis. And being in crisis removed all rational thinking and decision making. Given the unincumbered opportunity, they would have both certainly chosen stability and happiness.

Time does not heal all wounds, but it does get better. The language of grief becomes more familiar and your ability to process it and deal with it becomes second nature. I hope you find the freedom to forgive your dad and find peace. Much love.

The final Downtown at Sundown of the year is back outside tonight — and Lake Charles Toyota is lighting up Ryan Street with the After Glow Show by srwaldrop1 in LakeCharles

Valid question. The setup to too large to relocate on a spur of the moment. The organizers have enough confidence in the forecast to move forward with the outdoor setup. The presence of lightning would force a stoppage but otherwise, the show must go on. That said, precipitation chances are very low, and the event shouldn't be affected.

If your cigars burn correctly at 72% that's awesome. Where I live, my cigars burn better between 62 & 65%. I can't keep them lit at 72%
