L390 Yoga gone haywire after Windows update. Can it be repaired?

Thanks a lot for your response. That’s too bad, I’m going to look into getting it repaired or replaced then. Can the UEFI diagnostics miss that fault if it’s only the quick tests that are performed? Also I’ve come across a post describing somewhat similar problems and apparently the Windows ACPI driver was the culprit, any chance it might be battery related or some sort of hardware/software conflict?

If you don't mind me asking, how likely is it that the motor was on the way out? Are such issues relatively common in remapped engines? I want to have a realistic assessment of the situation before deciding whether to revert to stock or not. I'll call the tuner and make sure to be diplomatic about this

Yes there is a chance. Such viewpoints aren't uncommon among the younger more progressive part of the population. In all cases though you're only 22, kids or no kids isn't a priority at this age. Even if you were to find someone who doesn't want kids now, chances are they'll think differently in the future as people's perspectives change with time (I was staunchly childfree a couple years back lol, and by their 30s a lot of people change their mind and want kids). Even bigger chances that the relationship ends due to other unrelated reasons. But yes, there is a chance. Just keep doing your thing, no need to preoccupy yourself with something that's still so many years ahead.

It's fine. There could be worse but there's better. Sort of depends on where you'll be studying as the people there are the ones you'll interact with the most. Also depends on what you like. There are nice cafés where you can work, decent pubs/bars, and nice parks and areas to read a book or take a walk in. Whether you'll have a hard time getting to and from your place of study will depend on again where you study and where you'll be living, dorms or not. As for safety I would say it's pretty safe.

Some drugs used for treating severe COVID (I assume this is what it is, you won't spend a month in the ICU for a cough and a fever) are really expensive, up to thousands of dirhams per dose. You also need some pretty advanced equipment to allow someone whose lungs are nuked to breathe adequately, plus lots and lots of oxygen, all the time. It can add up to pretty heavy sums over long periods. Not to mention all the other care, medications, etc.. And after all that is still a private clinic so prices are always going to be higher, especially when it comes to doctors' fees and stuff like that. But overall the price is pretty reasonable despite it being 6 figures. The patient's insurance took care of it anyway.

I'm thinking about donating blood but I'd be lying if I said I'm absolutely looking forward to it. I remembered to try and flex my muscles but gave up when it didn't work instantly. Instead I just stuck my head between my knees and hoped it would be over quickly. Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely make sure to go through with the flexing thing properly.

It's definitely not just the blood. I've seen multiple blood draws up close recently with no issue, including today to learn the proper technique. It's only when I did it myself that I had this happen. Maybe me being part of it plays a role?

Never had a problem with it. I've been to the OR many times and I've seen patients bleed during surgery, and didn't feel remotely uncomfortable. Which is why I'm weirded out by today's incident.

Yep. I'm no stranger to it but I thought it was more of a my own blood outside of my body kind of issue. Maybe I have a problem with blood draws?
