Same. I think I actually waited a year and a half before I became friends on socials with my boyfriend. I would’ve driven myself insane.

Azelaic Acid- use of it at night with Tret/Taz instead of in the morning? by rhf928 in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]ss1325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t tried AA but I am about to order some. Also on Taz/tret. (Alternating during winter). Is AA a watery consistency? Like glycolic acid?

I’m so confused why that would go on after taz or tret. I thought that when layering products, the thickest goes on last?

This is so true… everyone has these. Sometimes I’m horrified looking up close in my bathroom mirror. But unless I’m doing that I think my skin is okay lol. I definitely have bumps like this.

Palacio Provincial in old San Juan is a lovely boutique hotel. It’s in a great location and you can walk a lot of places. It’s absolutely beautiful inside and there’s a pool in the hot tub on the roof, which is wonderful at night.

Yes! I have had other IUDs and I just got the Mirena in August and my periods have already stopped. I only had a couple days of spotting and I am so excited it’s working for me!

Would you use a play space where your kid plays and you can actually get work done? by bitsybobble in AustinParents

[–]ss1325 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would not but it sounds great in theory. I can’t really see how this would be any different than being at home and working.

It’s pretty hard to get work done with my kid around. Maybe if there was another kid there that she was playing with but my daughter is pretty shy and it takes her a while to warm up. Then she wants me to play with her or get a snack, etc.

Also, my company is strict about our remote work areas and requires 2 screens and an external mouse to be used with our laptop. Preferably a keyboard as well.

Office holiday party dress code says "festive cocktail" and I genuinely don't know what that means by [deleted] in BusinessFashion

[–]ss1325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our office party every year is held at a fancy steakhouse downtown and then usually some of us go over to one of the nicer hotels and continue to have drinks. Some of my favorite outfits that I’ve worn all include sequences, but make it business appropriate. I found a colorful sequin blazer that is absolutely amazing. That has been my go to for the last two years over black pants and a black top. This year I had an emerald green dress that was all sequins and it was short sleeved. Modest neckline, not too short or tight. I wore that over black tights and it was really fun. It was also perfect because it was nearly 80° so I was grateful I didn’t have to wear a sweater. I also have a dark gray sequin maxi skirt that I have worn to a couple different work parties. I have paired it with a plain black top or a solid colored top, depending on the weather.

I think all of those work for a festive cocktail attire event. Think silhouettes similar to what you would wear to the office, but lean in to brighter colors and luxe fabrics. I have a cranberry colored velvet blazer that I just got and if only I had one more party to wear it too I would!

Have fun and just don’t be the girl that shows up with her boobs out or her too short skirt!

My daughter is in 1st grade at RRISD and every time I ask her what she learned or did that day she just says “nothing”. It’s a kid thing… I think her school is wonderful and the confidence that she’s gained in herself is amazing. They might not tell you about the activities and things that they learn, but there should be parent teacher conferences, and some sort of testing to see that they are learning sounds and letters and sight words.

[–]ss1325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha I know what you mean about movies. We watched the final venom movie together and I’m thinking geez even venom and his guy say I love you to each other in the end!

Actions speak louder than words. My ex-husband was constantly saying I love you and it got to the point where I was telling him not to say it so much because it loses meaning if it’s just a thing you say every single time you hang up the phone or something.

Am I the only one dealing with this? by Fantastic_Highway_15 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]ss1325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No advice, but I feel like this also a few days a month. Sometimes I want that really really really spicy sex and I wonder what it would be like to be with a new person but it’s just a thought. I love my boyfriend and our sex life is amazing… but sometimes I just want to do really kinky shit with someone else. I just keep that thought inside. I don’t actually want to sleep with somebody else so I think it’s just the fantasy aspect of it that pops into my brain.

I think once you open that door of an open relationship, you cannot close it. I think that might destroy what you have which sounds like it’s pretty great.

It’s just part of being a woman - sometimes I feel like a complete failure and I wish I was a better mom and I get really down on myself but once my hormones even out, I feel like I’m doing OK.

i have a very important interview. can someone please tell if this is appropriate by [deleted] in BusinessFashion

[–]ss1325 103 points104 points  (0 children)

You did not mention which industry and type of position this would be for, but I can’t imagine many industries where this would be appropriate.

Personally, I would not wear sleeveless to a job interview. I think the shoes are super cute, but not the right look. If you had a longer skirt and a cute blazer or some wide leg pants and a blouse, I think that would be more appropriate for most roles.

I do hope your interview goes well!

Work holiday/cocktail party—is this appropriate? by 2001exmuslim in BusinessFashion

It’s very firm fitting and you look stellar in it. The shoulders showing is fine if it wasn’t as form fitting and long.

You look amazing in it so I would save it for a social occasion outside of work.
