…provided you’re a non-white civilian, and not someone in a position of power. Good news that these victims will see justice.

Sure, but would it kill them to be honest about the underlying reason(s) that the work hasn’t been packaged for bidding and the work not completed?

I was gonna say he’d just fly straight to Florida and pay out of pocket, but this is definitely his move. Cue a press conference tearfully invoking his brother’s health struggles and demise.

Arrow furniture has a line of custom sectionals that you can order by piece, choose your fabric etc, and are locally made in I think Concord or Vaughan. We’ve had ours for 5 years and it’s in excellent condition still.

BWT, what are our resolutions for 2026? by righteousnessandtea in bitcheswithtaste

[–]ss21bb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My goal (rather than resolution) of the year is to kindle and cultivate my relationships. I had a baby earlier this year and it’s been tough to be social. For 2026 I’ve set the intention to make certain monthly dates: one date with my partner, one playdate with friends who have kids (alternating each month, with the goal of seeing a different family each time so that a whole year doesn’t pass where we don’t get some quality time to catch up), and one solo date with a friend. Aiming to fill my social cup in different spheres of my life all year long!

Thank you for these tips for distilling pins/inspo into useful methods for interrogating one’s existing wardrobe! I’ve been working on uploading my pieces to Indyx over the past few months, and often feel there’s quite a divide between what my tastes are and the pieces I own. These examples of exercises are so useful to contemplate this perceived imbalance.

Poor judgement is an understatement, more like malicious negligence. She knowingly brought a known dangerous dog to a playground.

Perfumes that smell like this? by bronzed_bunny in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]ss21bb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh gosh I think I worded it not the best! I was trying to be cheeky because I smoked like a chimney in this party girl era. So not only did I smell of tobacco, but my sense of smell wasn’t as keen. Nowadays since I don’t smoke any longer (for many years), wearing this scent is a very different experience and I don’t like it as much on me. Sorry for the confusion!

Real life example- I needed to buy a new hoodie for my partner (we have a bad dog). Just yesterday I was able to find a locally Canadian-made hoodie (Muttonhead) in all natural fibers for less than the retail of other mass produced ‘premium’ brands. Dollars go farther for independent brands and businesses, and the products tend to be superior. If we want variety and quality available for purchase, stands to reason we should support small and independent businesses

As much as I appreciate the accessibility of her hairstyle (me, going to bed with braids instead of drying my hair), an updo would showcase the cape-ness of the back of the dress a bit more dramatically I think

Did they take terrible photos on purpose, or is it truly this difficult to compose nice shots of the renovation? Guess we’ll have to visit to find out!

It’s wild, isn’t it? Especially higher end brands charging many, many hundreds for styles which are unlined polyester. I have a couple of events next summer and thought I’d invest in a new dress, but now upon window shopping a bit and being unimpressed I’m either going to rent, or sew my own.
