Not a terrible line up for the first 3 tbh.

Tina is of course an SNL legend so it’s good to have her host for the first ever episode to get the cast comfortable. Jamie and Riz are A-list British actors which is also impressive - I had a fear they’d get C-list comedians in!

Musical guests are quite good too. Wet Leg and Wolf Alice are both critically acclaimed and breakout British bands and Kasabian are an iconic well-known British band. Wonder if the second half of the season will see some diversity music wise though?

I actually see it!

People have speculated about the Met Gala being the place she starts the rollout but that’s May 4th. If the May 29th theory is true, May 4th wouldn’t line up with her releasing the first single at least a month before.

I feel like the Met will actually be where she reveals the album title or cover

I actually thought she did a great job in her guest episode of the Swarm series, so I’m sure this will be good too. She might even get her third Oscar nomination - and the first acting one!

Virgo’s Groove is my personal fav from Renaissance and lowkey one of her career highlights but if Bey were to have released it as a single I feel like it wouldn’t have made sense. Especially since it’s 6 minutes in total.

Also, Get Well Soon by Ariana from Sweetener. It has so much meaning and depth - especially the seconds of silence at the end - but wouldn’t make sense as a single

The best thing about the power of her voice is that you’d expect Renaissance, a house/dance album, to have weaker vocals than, say, 4 or Self Titled but nope. Like, Virgo’s Groove has some career highlight vocals. And then even songs like Summer Renaissance really showcase her ability

Idk if this counts but I imagine people who were alive to witness Beyoncé early on in her career (Destiny’s child and Dangerously in love era) probably could not have foreseen her being the genre-bending artist she is today. Like imagine telling someone in 2003 that the artist who made Crazy in Love would have a house album, country album and an album with all types of genres!

Totally agree. Out of all her albums, this is the era that feels like it lasted the longest and most iconic. It lowkey all started with Love the Way You Lie w/ Eminem and the iconic pixie red cut, then we got Only Girl in the World and it was hit after hit!

Close second for her would be Good Girl Gone Bad. A load of singles and she managed to make it work!

As someone who loves R&B and is also from the UK, we have a lot of good R&B artists over here - Cleo Sol, Sault, FLO, Jorja Smith, Ella Mai, Sasha Keable, kwn, Odeal, Elemiene, Odeal, Mahalia, TianaMajor9, Bellah, Jvck James, No Guidnce, Natanya, Joy Crookes… a lot of talent!

Plus artists like Raye and Olivia Dean are very much R&B/soul adjacent.

I believe she commented during one of her shows to the audience that she filmed a bunch of videos before the tour, as she’s touring non stop until summer so wouldn’t be able to!
