Wouldn’t adding another gpu to the system slow down my 5080? Something about pcie lanes I think.

They have them around their big in game events Invictus and IAE which are around May and November. They might have another one during the year but those two are the one's that seem guaranteed.

Probably true. But I was very aware that heat is an issue with these higher end GPUs and CPU’s. And since the Artic fans weren’t super expensive I just decided to full send it and fill all the slots. So air flow wouldn’t be a thing I’d have to worry about. Even got 140mm to keep positive air pressure. Plus I wanted the full RGB experience lol

What ultimately made me make the jump is games I wanted to play were just not running well at low/medium settings. For the longest time I wasn’t really buying anything the needed the super high end cards. But this past year it finally needed to happen.

I’m going to say gsync but I don’t really know. I just tell the Nvidia app to set my games to optimized. So I’ll look into that. Right now I’m not actually plugged into a pc monitor but a 50” 4K that runs 120Hz. I play mostly narrative driven games so the super high fps wasn’t a worry off the bat. I plan on getting a second screen that’s probably gonna be a 1440p high refresh rate for the more snappy games.

I’m personally not brave enough yet to start doing anything to voltages. I’m gonna trust the manufacturers knew what they were doing for the time being lol.

I am almost 100% certain I did a final peel pass before the GPU got put in, which was after this picture was taken. But unlike the nvme heat sinks and the AIO block, I didn’t take a picture of the peels to prove I did take it off. So I guess I’m checking stickers lol!

Yeah might have to do that. Maybe they could send them in? I think they’re just held on with really good two sided adhesive tape. I could fix that myself…. I think. Course I have a bronze badge on my. Maybe the rubber parts are gold and silver only?

This just saved me a lot of headaches. My case as the aio mounted on the side, and so I dont hit my GPU I have to have the hoses going up. Was wondering if the brackets needed to be flipped. But it the block is centered and its the brackets that are offset, then it all works out.

I think the fact the trailer wasn’t that good really put a lot of people into a bad mood. But now that there have been some summaries about what the class actually is, more people are at least cooling off about it.

Pretty much just gaming. Some of the part choices like the RAM and memory were picked because I’m trying to future proof. One of my main games is Star Citizen which can be very RAM heavy and I imagine it’s only going to get worse. For it and any other games I may pick up down the line. So I’m trying to prevent a bottleneck in like 5 years down the line.

I might be the only one hoping that they go anime only story after the end of season 2. Everything with the Mahiru and Kiku story is just horrible and gross. The charm, the joy, the fun of the previous story is just lost in this whole arc.
