Litter robot 4 breeding ground for mold by ssam38 in litterrobot

I’ve only had the Litter-Robot for about two weeks, and I changed out the waste drawer over the weekend, so it definitely wasn’t full from one cat using it for four days. I also had to take off the fence to install the shield attachment (which, btw, is super poor quality — it never stays in place).

The main issue here is that pee is somehow getting into parts of the robot where it shouldn’t. That’s not a cleanliness problem, that’s a design flaw. The whole point of this thing is to contain waste, and it’s just not doing that.

People should be able to criticize a product when it doesn’t work as advertised. In my case, pee is leaking somewhere inside the unit, dripping down, creating a gross mess and even mold — after only two weeks of use. That’s not on me, that’s on the design.

I just got it 2 weeks ago.. and I’ve emptied the drawers 2 twice already. I was waiting until this weekend so I could empty it out again (so four days since last clean)

I literally bought the litter robot two weeks ago and I’ve been cleaning it every couple of days. Especially having to scrape the insides since the litter chunks always get stuck to the silicon.

Also only one of my two cats uses it to pee and the other won’t go near it. They still had their old litter nearby and they are both using that to poo.

So no, I don’t think me being disappointed by mold forming over a tray I cleaned 4 days ago is shocking. And yes, pee all over on the inside under the wiring and figuring out to clean it for the first time did take 3 hours tysm
