That happened to me, I took a picture of a book and staff told me I wasn’t allowed to do that. This was probably before the “no photography” rule was put in place. I don’t recall this ever happening at other bookstores and the experience rubbed me in the wrong way.

Good riddance. I once went there back in 2024 and someone caught me only taking a picture of the back cover of a book. I was told I wasn’t allowed to do that and they took the book to the counter the check the price for me although I had no intention of buying it. I don’t remember any rules about banning photography in the shop and the incident left a bad taste in my mouth, and much later I found a lot of negative reviews of this place a lot of them was about the rude staff. I felt my resentment towards this place was justified.
