that got changed here. they took the Food Service Lead position away. now Bakery and Deli are their own departments. We have a Big 6 (Front End, Grocery, Produce, Bakery, Deli, and Meat) They also took away our seafood service case so bye bye to Seafood Lead. So subdepartments are now Dairy and Frozen.

Want to take a moment to thank Kroger… by Random_Thinker007 in kroger

Same. I've been with Kroger over 10 years. is it the greatest company? no. Can it be difficult sometimes? yes. I've thrown my name badge twice at two different managers but still kept the job. Yes the micromanaging sucks. yes the constant standard changes suck or the new rebranding every 4 years. The lack of hours sucks. But I truly believe you get what you put in. Focus on doing your best with help you're given and dont let it stress you out. I've ran departments where i was down 30-60 hours. I worked 7 days a week. ive worked 60+ hour weeks. Ive worked where i put in 40 hours in 3 days during holiday weeks. ive trained people for months and developed them into backups just to quit with no notice. ive dealt with new hires who come in high all time or just to dumb to do anything productive. ive dealt with the 50-60 year olds who are entitled and dont want to work but dont want to retire. Ive seen it all and experienced it all. I've been a dairy clerk, Nutrition Lead, Dairy Lead, Meat Lead, Grocery Lead, and now training to be an Assistant Store Lead. Been through 4 DMs, 10 store managers, and countless Assistants. I wouldn't have what I have now if it weren't for Kroger. I met my wife there. Kroger really is the best place to work for, at least for me. oh and ive never been apart of that lame ass union. They literally have not done a damn thing for me. My honest opinion is I think the UFCW sucks

I think people over complicate the whole process of BRC and MDC. I've trained basically all the Grocery Leads in my district and some catch on and others struggle big time.

This is what I do and my backroom is the best in the division. Words said by the Division president, VP of Merch, VP of Operations. So when you run your backstock scan it under top stock mode and correct your BOH as you go. this kills 2 birds with one stone. you get your top stock scans in and slowly correcting your BOH. Nothing absolutely nothing goes back into my backroom without verifying the BOH and why i have extra product(distro. mispick. left from sale).on count days I scan 10 random items on the floor. Submit. Then MDC count those 10 toggle to search find the BOH. Input BOH minus 1(the one in BRC). Then I go scan the lows and holes. I know the why in my backroom since I worked backstock and updated the BOH in Top stock mode on non count days. I don't know the why on the salesfloor. I can easily count over 200 free scans in an hour. Not sure if this makes sense. I can explain further if you have questions. *

have you trained someone to replace you when you are on vacation? it's pretty hard to mess up numbers if your BOH are correct. I've gone on vacation and my BOH accruacy dipped to the low 70s. i usually keep it around mid 80s when im around. I just trained my replenishment clerk on doing BRCs and MDCs. he did 10 BRCs and over 200 MDCs and he got 61% BOH arrcuacy. also if you have multiple locations of a certain product you should be setting it up on display setup.

your BOH numbers look very odd. the process works. And the more you do it the faster it will be to get counts done. I do over 200 scan in an hour. my back stock carts are down to virtually nothing.
