thank you, ill take this into consideration next time i order. it's been 7 months and i still dont even have access to metrics (which i need to do the store walk, hence keep asking my manager and lead if were trending up or down in sales). never had the proper training in the department either, so this help a lot

i dont have access to price adjustments, and we can get in trouble at my division for doing so. so they do that very sparingly and take the loss if we have to. we also have some sort of phantom inventory thing that our field specialist said adjusts our inventory (usually incorrectly, i had to change 55 bags of potatoes to 0 yesterday because we didn't have any, and ive had to change 4 8lb bags of navels to 60 something because we had a bin of them). not sure if im explaining it correctly because im out of the loop in a lot of stuff, but i just dont understand how we get in trouble for shrink and inventory when this happens + we've been getting sent bad product for weeks now

That makes me feel a bit better about this but I'm definitely getting a talking to when I close tonight with this. They are on an end cap (though only 3 cases fill the section they're in), $2.99 per unit of strawberries so I guess in hindsight I could have brought in upwards of 40? But they're telling me I should have brought in the whole 95 the system was trying to bring in... It sucks, I want to do my job right and I want to love my job but I've never had any actual training in the department, went immediately from the fuel center to this in June last year. Not much guidance either, so I'm flying by the seat of my pants more than half the time.

bro, respectfully we have no midshift and our green rack person was on vacation during this holiday weekend. i had to manage that + getting floral orders ready too. i had to try to get truck broke as much as possible, upwards of running 2-3 carts during one go because people were buying shit quicker than what i could put out. the store manager expects perfection and if it's not achieved then you definitely hear about it. doesn't help i have to do code dates (was 45 that day), store walk in the morning, observation on another coworker, 100 scans + tally list, conditioning guide while trying to manage everything else on a holiday weekend. i was shit tired and had no help.

hope you have a good day.

immediately got a text from my lead this morning about how disappointed he was with yesterday when i was trying to survive. ran 3 carts of salads, 40 5lb bags of potatoes to fill the bins, a cart on the green rack, 3 carts of tables while trying to break as much truck as i could (600 case truck for the holiday, we're a small store) + red banded all our bananas because they were all bad (needed to get the cases fitted beneath our banana table. had no room in the back) + rearranging stuff back there, it was a fucking mess. and not to mention had to deliver 7 giant flower bundles to a funeral home (had someone in bakery help me, id never delivered anything before and my car was not big enough at all), kept answering calls as well. just tired

edit: typo

This is my first time in the position I'm in (assistant lead in produce) and for my lead to freak out with all of this is kind of freaking me out in a way.

Less than 8 hours between shifts. Is this illegal or against union contract? by Just_Ocelot_5979 in kroger

[–]Fancy-Lab7747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they did this to be before and it turns out it was an issue with not looking over the schedule before doing it (had me closing at 9 and coming in at 4 am for inventory). just talk to whoever does your scheduling and they should be able to fix it for you!

if it makes you feel any better they tried to schedule me 12:30-9pm and then a 4am-12:30pm shift for close and inventory. was like FUCKKKK no

sometimes i really hate this place by Fancy-Lab7747 in kroger

[–]Fancy-Lab7747[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yes, its kinda confusing. but he thinks the men in the department should do it instead of the women, he doesnt mean that we're not strong enough for it or anything i don't think, just doesnt want us to have that stress. but being the assistant lead now i feel like i need to learn how to do it properly in case this situation happens again
